164 I am so sorry you have to deal with that. I have to admit that I pretended to be male in my fandom before to explore my male gender identity. It really helped me to figure out my own gender, as on a forum, it was so much easier to refer to myself with different pronouns. It helped me realise and helped me dare to realise that I am bigendered. Had I known I was harming people, I would have never done that. I am truly sorry.

Fandom was what I clinged to when I was heavily depressed for a few years and actually it helped me become comfortable with myself again and develop a healthy social life. I hope that whether you work through your depression first without fandom or use fandom to work through your depression that you'll be much happier at the end.

Also total Naruto/Avatar/Harry Potter fangirl here so if you'd like some fandom friends to help you get back into them or just have someone to talk to who has also been through depression feel free to chat with me :)

hah, thanks bb. Well, I've been depressed for a very long time and I did used to cling to fandom. I mean, my mother was abusive so I would try to spend as much as time as possible online as a way to avoid her. It's just, I've stopped reading fanfiction and that's what originally got me into fandom in the first place.

And yeah, I would like that. If it's not too much trouble. :)
