I don’t feel for her. She participated in an armed heist that cost an innocent man his life. Yes, she did it out of poverty, but she was sentenced to time in a rehabilitation facility, not even prison, and her son would have had a decent life as a ward of the Federation. But she was so angry she didn’t get to go free that she scared her young child into running away, leading to him growing up alone and on the run and becoming an angry bitter criminal – you know, like her.

Neither the Federation nor Nahla Ake failed Anisha. Or Caleb. The Mirs just like to blame everybody else for the consequences of their own actions.

She sounds like an idiot. I was already weary about watching the show (but I'm going to watch at least two episodes because my favourite person is in it) but ugh, I know I'm going to HATE this character. Bleh.

The show doesn't present her as right or Nahla as wrong, it shows Nahla doing something she regrets in a tough situation. And IRL, removing a young kid from a mother who isn't harming them - even if that mother has harmed someone else - almost always leads to worse outcomes for the kid *and* the mother. It's a big focus of prison reform in my country.

I love Olivia Colman so much and was so happy when she came back for season two of The Night Manager. I thought for sure she'd have a bigger role because it's Olivia Colman, ffs! She did not. I hate that we saw her character's fall, but not her redemption. I cannot BELIEVE the ending. There's going to be a season 3 and I'm torn between hoping it's a faked death scene so she can be alive vs. hoping it isn't because that would feel very contrived. Arrgghhhh!

I love that actress! Maybe she was too expensive for the show runners? Or something came up and she couldn't continue? Still that sucks. I'm not sure if I'd prefer the annoyance of a fakeout over the loss of a great actor either.

She was busy filming The Roses when the night manager s2 was filming, so they accommodated her and filmed her scenes around that.

I think the death is probably permanent as she has a lot of things coming up and will likely be super busy.

But you never know, imdb lists her for Ep1 of S3, which could be an error but maybe she will be in it briefly at least.

I can't believe that another Duggar son has been accused of CSA. DON'T look it up if you are sensitive, but Joseph Duggar has been arrested and apparently confessed to it. TWO of the 10 Duggar sons now. I wasn't raised in a religious household, but I was an only child and was fascinated with large families, so I used to watch them a lot when I was young. Joe was only a few years older than I am, so it's just mind-blowing to me, the whole situation is awful and I feel so sad about it. I mean at this point I've known for years that they're not great people. At all. But the child part of me is still heartbroken to find out that yet another one of the sons is the worst type of human being.

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'm trying something new with the comment secret thread and extending the deadline to comment until Monday's post goes up. I'll monitor this thread until then, and hope the extra day will be more helpful for everyone.
