Are you sure they haven't, though? Not even a novelty 3D film at a theme park? A friend of mine has no depth perception nd he won't go see things in 3D because he literally cannot see it, it stays fuzzy, and it really sucks for him to pay for that. and sure, it's frustrating if we go see films together, but I don't think it makes you an awesome friend if you want to put people through something unpleasant.Maybe they DO get headaches.

Or maybe they're being dramatic, or scared of new technology, in which case you're right. But you know, they might be telling the truth?

Why are you letting your friend ruin your kink? I'm only familiar with half of those four fandoms, but they're fairly healthy relationships, although not sexual in the canon at all - which means they could possibly serve as the basis for healthy sexual relationships in fic. You clearly believe your friend's relationship is completely different.

That said, you should talk to your friend. I don't want to assume anything, but depending on ages and your country etc etc there is potential for major trouble down the road.

That's not crazy at all! My shrink actually recommended visualization as a technique to me for when I get too freaked out, though I've been using a young Charles Xavier as my particular focus. Whatever works for you, use it. <3 I'm glad you've found something that helps you.

The show doesn't exist to offend people. I mean, I'm sure Seth finds it a bonus since the stupid sensitive fucks are the only ones who get offended, but still.

Anyway, after Stewie and Oliva (annoying female brat, about his age, could talk as well) broke up. During the credits, Stewie asked Brian why men don't just live together, etc., not sure of his exact words, and Brian replied "they do, it's called being gay." Stewie thought about it for a while and said something along the lines of "yeah, I could totally get into that."

I always had the secret hope as a kid that he was Asian-American, and I just couldn't tell based on his appearance. (I also thought wrinkles could hide anything.) I think I just wanted a strong Asian-American figure--a real one, not a character--in one of my favorite fandoms.

I had also convinced myself that Jim Lee was actually Stan Lee's son, taking over the family business. (Which might be why I thought Stan was Asian...)

I agree that there is a lot of Asian fetishism that goes on in certain fandoms and it can be disturbing to say the least.

The histronics in some parts of the fandom has gotten a little ridiculous (accusing the writers of being homophobic because Arthur and Merlin aren't actually gay? Huh?); thankfully my little corner is still wonderfully sane.

This x100. I don't understand why most of fandom thinks the old episodes of Family Guy (before its cancellation) were the best. I can hardly watch them. And Stewie being such a painfully forced and unfunny one-note character is one of the reasons. There's only a certain amount of times I can laugh at the "Lois must die" jokes or the various unfunny tirades he used to go on.

At least now Stewie has progressed into a much more interesting character. He still has his evil moments, but a lot of the humor now comes from how pathetic he is and how Brian mocks him for it. (I also love how Brian and Stewie's relationship has progressed over the years. It still weirds me out that Peter and Brian consider each other best friends, because as far as I'm concerned, Stewie and Brian are best friends. Even if they do give each other a lot of shit)
