I just thought your reply was really over the top. He was absolutely being misogynistic, as someone has kindly pointed out to you. He's a misogynistic piece of garbage, and I don't really feel obligated to treat him kindly.

I don't think I was so much being condescending to him as treating him like the vermin he and any other misogynist is. Anyway, I was just replying in kind to his tone when he told a woman who responded to his asinine sexism by telling her to go away because "the grown ups are talking," since he proved himself to have the maturity and critical thinking of an eight year old.
