I admit to not being in the RP scene recently, but I recall a large amount of people did that sort of thing regardless of the fandom. They had the hots for a certain character, so they would claim and RP that character's love interest mostly just to write out a relationship or sexy times with them.

Oh my god I could have written this in my sleep. This secret is perfection. Marshall/Lily is probably the couple I adore the most out of all fictional couples I have ever read or watched in my life, and I have never wanted them to be apart for a second, but god damn, Alyson Hannigan...

Also, this will sound really weird but Lily and Ted made me open my mind to incest fic, which I had always hated because for the longest time if I got a sibling-y vibe from any two characters I would avoid anything that paired them like the plague. It's weird because, well, duh, they're not brother and sister, but they reminded me so much of a brother and sister in the show (I'm probably projecting, since Ted and Lily are almost personality-doppelgangers of my sister's two best friends, who are siblings), yet I shipped the fuck out of them anyway, along with Marshall/Lily, Robin/Lily, and Barney/Lily. So I figured that a sibling-y vibe and shipping didn't have to be mutually exclusive and could be kinda delicious.

And now what I really want more than anything is a fivesome orgy from Lily's point of view.

I'm totally with you OP. Lily wants into Robin's pants so bad and the chemistry between Ted and Barney is tangible. The five of them are all great together. I swear, if this show was on a different network (HBO or Showtime, ect) I could see a lot of bed-hopping and swapping happening.

Hey, it's okay. I don't judge you for this, it's not like you get off on having sex with an actual sibling. I'm mentally equating it with shotacon or having a rape kink in my head. As for the asexual thing, I empathize with that as well. I considered myself as asexual, though I do enjoy pleasuring my partners sexually, because I don't like it when they try to touch me.
