I ship Steve/Tony in the movies and I couldn't agree more with the main secret, I think it's ridiculous when people act like if you don't ship Steve/Tony in the comics you're ~doing it wrong, and it's even dumber in the movies.
People need to accept that their relationship and dynamic are different in the movies, and that both Tony and Steve have better and more significant relationships with other people in the MCU canon. Maybe they will eventually get to a relationship closer to the one in the comics in the future, but for the time being, nope.
Your bonus!secret is dumb as fuck, tho. Howard's obsession with finding Steve and his overall dickness and what happened with Loki are two completely different situations.

And I hated pepperony waaaaay back before I knew who Steve Rogers was. Second movie disappointed me and screwed up the story AND Tony's character, not to mention Pepper's (seriously? you're amazing, girl! get away from him as soon as you can!) in my eyes. I had no idea what Marvel was and what's MCU. Then I discovered the comics, and after a year of both bronze age and modern stuff I finally found stony, fell in love with this ship and it's been in top ten of my OTPs since then. The Avengers movie was cool, not what I expected at all, but no matter what the verse is, they're still a marvel for me. Wow you guys. /end rant

As someone who is not in Avengers fandom at all, but who has watched the fandom's evolution since May by stalking the secrets and discussions here on F!S, and via osmosis through my fandom friends, with great interest...I just wanna ask: are there any shipping wars in this fandom that don't involve Tony? Is he, like, the bicycle which all other characters in the fandom exist in order to do battle with each other for the right to ride, and any other ships are an afterthought? Because that's the impression I've gotten.
