I think they're all pretty creepy, to be honest, but it's television--they always get hot chicks unless the ugly ladies are there for laughs. So, agreed I guess, but I expected nothing less.

I think Howard is gradually getting less unlikeable as the show goes on, whereas the other main characters are all regressing into total jackassery. In any case, I'd rather Howard ended up happy than Leonard.

Because seriously, fuck Leonard.

I actually think Leonard's a worse boyfriend than Howard ever was, tbh. I hated Priya, but I didn't like the way he treated her at all.

Still bitter the Raj/Stuart storyline never went anywhere this season.

And I'm happy I gave the show up.

I dunno, he was the most open about his creepiness fer shure, but the most creepy? Still Leonard, or Captain Stalker-Manipulative as his supervillainhero name would be, is the most creepy and skeevy.

Howard is the only one who has gone through any real character arc, and while he is still a nerd and an idiot, he's now the most grown up, normal, and least childish one of the group. Yeah, thinnest kid at the fat camp and all that, but he isn't the obnoxious sleazeball that he was to start with and part of the reason for that change was the character cleaning up his act for Bernadette. He lost her after a couple of dates when he was sleazy old Howard and then the writers had him realize he had to change to win her back. He wasn't given a girlfriend, he made himself worthy of having someone be with him.

They even had a whole episode which was devoted to beating us over the head with that whole "Howard has changed" crap.

uh. i dislike Howard most of the time but he had to grow and change a LOT for her to put up with his shit. He was not "rewarded" for being a creep... he grew up and changed and developed and with that maturity came the ability to be in a functional relationship.

Howard is not more creepy than Amy. Every scene she is in is either lezzing out for Penny or trying to get Sheldon to do something physical he is uncomfortable with. Remember the boob massages she tricked him into doing? Flip that around and have a male trick a girl into rubbing his erogenous zones under false pretenses and you'd see a full on internet flame war.

Amy is way creepy. Even Howard was never that brazen.

I find Howard to be the most likable male character on the show. At least his flaws are right there in the open, so you don't find out later what a horrible person he is. I guess Sheldon and Howard are the two that I like, while Raj and Leonard just piss me off with their "nice guy" routine.

Man, everyone above is like, "but, character development!" but, he developed from a disgusting, near-irredeemable douchebag creep to just a normal-level douchebag creep. He's better than he was before, but that's like saying that normal shit is better than diarrhea.

I wish that too. He's gotten better, but not much. I also wish he'd gotten better on his own, instead of them playing the whole "love of a good woman is what you need to grow as a person" thing. And yeah, it also would have been nice to see him with someone less conventionally attractive.

I don't know...I kinda liked Howard *because* he was open about being a creep - though I'm still a little puzzled as to why a woman would want to be with him.

Then again, I stopped watching when Leonard [apparently] couldn't deal with Penny having gone to college, and kept trying to push it on her.

I'll admit I haven't watched every episode, but I thought Howard was growing up and getting a bit less terrible because of his relationship with Bernadette. At least, it seems like that was the intent the writers had, they're not great with characters.

Does no one get that they're all creepy and awkward? That's kind of the premise of the entire show. They mean well for the most part, but they have tons of insecurities and say/do stupid things. They're clueless.

I don't like Howard (or pretty much any of the characters besides Bernadette), but I do really like how when he told Bernie that he expected her to quit her job and be a stay-at-home mom, and assumed that he could spend her money without asking because they were married, she was like "oh HELL no" and called him on it.

I will never be able to suspend my disbelief over the fact that Bernadette actually found him attractive (and not just physically, the dude is gross in ways that have nothing to do with how he looks) enough to want to marry him. She could do SO much better. So could Penny and Amy for that matter. Ugh.
