I would absolutely adore having an 'everybody lives' alternate ending! Though I think that Thorin/Kili/Fili surviving the BoFA would change the timeline too much for it to be a canon ending, even for the movieverse.

I haven't been able to find any, I'm not a fan of written fiction, so I only look for pictures, and it's really hard for me to find het monster stuff, especially of the NSFW variety. I've tried all the tags I can think of, and I still come back with near nothing. I don't know of any other websites to search for that kind of stuff, everywhere seems to be focused on the really rapey kind of het monster stuff.

At what point does it take for you to cut off all contact with a former friend if they're doing something that makes you uncomfortable? Do you have limits, if any? If so, what are they? If you've ever stopped being friends with someone because something they did disgusted you, what was it?

TBH I thought they'd added in the romance partially to make the whole thing more depressing, especially for the people who know what's coming. But then I'm one of those awful human beings who finds completely happy endings anti-climactic.

Which is all bullshit, if you ask me. You can't make up for the past, you can only work toward a more equal present and future. Which means sexing up everyone, if that's your bag.

That's because despite the hate that Martin gets online, he's actually really good a writing people in general (women included) and writing them like real human beings with both flaws and strengths.

Agreed. Most of my favorite shows were great for maybe three seasons and then started a downward spiral. At that point they have told the most interesting stories and after that it's more and more just going through the motions. I can't see Hannibal being much different.

You're wrong and your right. Obviously fanon has done worse.

But making it romantic does without doubt ruin the message. You're saying it's not the point, but it was. The whole fucking point of the thing was to show that NON-ROMANTIC LOVE CAN BE TRUE LOVE. That's why we had not one but two red herring romance plots that, while resolved, didn't save the day.

You alter that, you alter everything. I'm not saying you can't. But don't say you aren't!
