He makes movies that have universal appeal. That's why people love him, that's not really hard to understand.

I don't know what he's like as a person, but he certainly would not be the first director with a difficult character. But, that's definitely not going to make me enjoy the movies less.

That's the problem with a webcomic that has a huge cast and only updates three times a week. The best thing to do is step away from it for a while and then read like hell to catch up.

How would you define a "vintage" fandom?

(Anonymous) 2014-07-02 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Yesterday someone made a great suggestion of having a vintage fandom week for older fandoms, say, pre-2000. It made me curious. How would you define it? How old does a fandom have to be to be considered vintage?

(No, not those things from Wrath of Khan.)

What song or tune have you had stuck in your head today, F!S?

I watch tearjerker eps/scenes of certain shows when I need a good cry. It's cathartic.

His voice is so attractive. And his face.

Romantic songs everyone likes but you find really dumb or weird

(Anonymous) 2014-07-02 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Uhhhhhh...I think the title is self-explanatory. You should explain WHY you find them dumb or weird, though, or we have nothing to talk about!

Phineas and Ferb songs to are usually good for cheering up.

Sorry you're disappointed, OP, but I'm the opposite. I think he's the character I'm most excited for.

I'd be fine. I'm good at keeping my head down and also have a law degree. I'd become a jail house lawyer and all my clients would protect me.

I figure Star Trek (any gen, but Enterprise or Voyager in particular just because how up themselves those shows were) combined with Discworld. "Captain, sensors are picking up a turtle!".

To be fair the relationship aspect is a big part of the game.

The "real man" with the glasses and beard is actually really hot imho.

Re: If your favorite source of fap material ceased to exist, what would you turn to instead?

[personal profile] silverr 2014-07-02 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, my source is my brain, so if it ceased to exist your question would be moot for me.

FINALLY A TRUE SECRET

because jesus christ if you said this in public I wouldn't even pray for you. I'd just go 'you in danger girl'

Sometimes, just to see if they would be as poignant the second time through.

Usually not. Media rarely makes me get emotional, and then if it does I can't really muster up the same response a second time around.

YEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I'm going to vent a little.

(Anonymous) 2014-07-02 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a jealousy problem. I tend to become jealous of what other people have very easily. And I can deal with it when someone has something I want but doesn't want it themselves. I can also deal with it when someone has something I want and is very happy about it. But what I can't stomach is when someone has what I want and denies that they have it. For instance:

"Even if internet fame has its downsides, I still envy you for having it."
"I'm not really famous. I only have about eight thousand followers."
"..."

Yeah, and I have twelve, douchenozzle*. Not twelve thousand. Twelve. Weren't you JUST talking about a recent post that got up to a hundred thousand notes and is still going? The most I've ever had is twenty, unless you count the one YOU reblogged. And out of the seven hundred notes on it, exactly zero of those people started to follow me.

(Don't get me wrong, I'm not out to ride his coat-tails, I care for him as a person whether he reblogs my items or not, but it was a tad bit annoying to gain no attention of my own in that one scenario.)

*Point in fact, the people involved are usually not douchenozzles, and are often my good friends, but ugh. That denial gets my goat.

Too many to count. But mainly love songs that sound more like an obsession or not being able to move on from a crush rather than actual love. It gets old after a while.

It's impossible now, but after reading about Isadora Duncan, I've always wanted a young Maggie Smith to play her. They looked like they could have been sisters!
