I love that game so, SO much. I downloaded dogz all the time D: It was like my childhood version of the Sims.

F!s in general-- why do you guys pick ...catchphrases from week to week? This week, apparently, is "like burning."
last week was "like the ___ of an angry ___(god)."

19) Uh....gotta disagree with you there! The thing Zuko originally accused Azula of lying about in that that scene? Turned out to be true! In fact, almost everything Azula says is true...just twisted to get the result she wants.

36) OH BEN <3

19. Word. The only part I can think of offhand where she actually lied was in "The Avatar State."

4. The only reason why I haven't ran to write X/HP right after seeing that secret is that I don't really like X all that much. If I did, you can be sure that I'd be already looking for ways to make it work. :P

But, honestly? Crossovers are one of those cases where "don't like, don't read" actually applies.

Besides, HP crossovers well with a lot of things. A lot of them are bad... just like a lot of everything is bad. But expect the HP crossovers to keep coming because, in many cases, they work.

And they need more love, dammit. ;P

[identity profile] laurus-nobilis.livejournal.com 2007-12-12 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
* haven't run. I can write, I promise.

[identity profile] rekallthegreat.livejournal.com 2007-12-12 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
4. I know a lot of HP crossovers suck, but there are ways to make a good HP crossover fic. For example, in Card Captor Sakura, it's a canon fact that Clow Reed is part English and that his own type of magic comes from both English and Chinese sources. It's not that much of a stretch to write a fic where he and Dumbledore know each other (or even Dumbledore knowing Eriol). Another example is a HP/Tokyo Babylon fic I've been working takes place the year before Lupin starts working at Hogwarts. In the fic, Lupin is traveling the world, trying to escape his past and ends up in Tokyo; it's then through meeting Subaru he realizes he needs to return to England and accept the teaching job Dumbledore has been offering him.

27. Are you series? The Final Fantasy series have some of the most awesome females around. Celes, Rydia, Faris, Krile, Ashe, Aerith, Terra, Tifa and so many more.

45. You know what I really want? In Doctor Who there's an awesome character called the Rani, who gets introduced as an old woman and pulls off her old woman mask when the Master confronts her because he wants her to work with him. I think it would be ultra cool if when Rose returns this season it's really Rani pretending to be Rose to fuck with the Doctor. That would be so cool since it's always fun to watch the main character of a series get fucked in the head.

[identity profile] laurus-nobilis.livejournal.com 2007-12-12 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not that much of a stretch to write a fic where he and Dumbledore know each other (or even Dumbledore knowing Eriol).

I always love finding more people who think so. :D Seriously, when you start thinking about it, Clow fits so well in the Potterverse it's creepy.

6. Random fact: I call Cynthia/Shirona the Pimp Champion, because in fanarts she's been paired up with some of the finest ladies from the various regions XD Putting her with Lucy/Azami, which has her own little posse of girls in the anime? Boy, sign me up!

14. Fuck fandom. Ship 'em to your heart's content. Though I kinda ship the sheepdog assassin with Johnny, myself.

32. AHAHAHA, YEAH! If you think ABA's hot, you should see Alex Ahad's fanarts :D Though I agree with each of the comments. The Dizzy one sounds like something a friend of mine would say XD

22. I played the entire Xenosaga series and loved it just for the plot, because it KICKED ASS. It's one of my favorite game story lines ever, and I love all the characters. The gameplay, though... meh.

27. ...And yet, all the FF guys are variations of the same old stereotypes, too, but no one ever calls them out on it. Huh. Also, secret OP: I seriously doubt you're alone with that, considering all the hate the FF girls seem to get on a fairly regular basis.

19. I think it's debatable about the truth behind the "Azula always lies" statement that Zuko made, at least given what we've been shown in the show. Regardless, it didn't even cross my mind at the time that she was lying about Suki being alive. I assumed Suki was sitting in a cell somewhere. I like Suki a lot too, and I pretty much ship Sokka/everyone, and it would totes suck if another one of his girlfriends died. But it would be SO AZULA to kill her...

12. JESUS CHRIST, PETZ. ♥♥♥♥ omg, I used to have all the old ones and downloaded so many on my computer. I even used to have a crappy website~! Those were the days... I see them trying to bring it back, but the new ones suck because the graphics are all 'nice'. Laaaame, if we wanted good graphics, we'd go play Nintendogs.

*goes to see if she can find the old game anywhere*

[identity profile] killingsound.livejournal.com 2007-12-13 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
42. I have definitely tried dressing up VK before. But after trying, I realized something: I am not stick skinny, I do not have good makeup skills, and I am not a Japanese man, and will therefore always look mediocre or just plain bad in the VK style. So I stopped trying. Fortunately, I always did it in private, so no one else had to bear with my half-assed attempts. That's the way it should be. Do it in private, and do not take photos!

I think many people could learn from my story.

42. Some visual kei cosplayers are really good..those ones however...that's supposed to be visual kei? o_O I think the last one is trying to pull a Yoshiki or something

[identity profile] orphen.livejournal.com 2007-12-13 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
22. I LOVE the second game so MUCH! A lot of people seem to hate it, but I thought the battle system for it (as far as characters go) was THE BEST. I do prefer the E.S. battles in episode III though. But I only recently finished this series...and I can honestly say it's in my top three games of all time. I just love it that much...and, really, I LOVE Shion. I don't really understand the hate for her. :/
Well...I do understand why people dislike her...but I really think her actions were justified.

33. AGREED.

I love the battle system in II as well. At first I was terribly confused and frustrated, but after reading a detailed walkthrough, it made sense. Then it was really fun. I even did a presentation on it for Speech class where I brought in my PS2 and explained how to effectively kill enemies.

The class kept giggling every time Junior said "eat this." <.<;

Rigidly IC = wholesome yet boring.
Gracefully OOC = cool and rebellious.

I usually take option no. 2 with a liberal dose of irony. Good times for all.

Badly OOC = heathen.

Re: 2

so it's ok now to have characters that are OOC.

there are some fanfic writers that will love that.

22. I loved Xenosaga II's battle system and character designs a whole lot, but not even those can make up for the goddawful (cheesy) dialogues and voiceacting (I am looking at you Olivia Hack and Colleen O'Shaughnessey). I suppose it doesn't help when Kos-mos' and Shion's story got severely shafted; it was just not what I was expecting. So, I respectfully would have to disagree. XD

As for your actual secret... do you know how hard it is to find someone who loves Shion?! Do you?! ILU! *hearts* She isn't my favorite character by far, but I am immensely fascinated with her character, flaws and all.

[identity profile] orphen.livejournal.com 2007-12-13 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Posting for Shion love~ ♥

And agreed that Hack and O'Shaughnessey were bleh. Thankfully KOS-MOS had little speaking parts.

The Doctor and Rose are awesome. A reunion is just as awesome because there was a heartbreaking ending that left no real conclusion. She'll be gone eventually, as will RTD and David Tennant, and the Doctor will bounce back to his old self. I fucking promise.

Re: #45

(Anonymous) 2007-12-13 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Because Doomsday wasn't fucking annoying enough (this isn't the Rose show!), and the Doctor didn't spent this entire last season whining about Rose and treating Martha like shit.

Ignoring the fact that I'm vaguely creeped out and wonder what exactly is meant by 'ship', how is this not!fandom? It mentions our writing, the majority of which is fanfic (for all three of us.)

I mean, I've seen secrets like this in the past that haven't been not!fandomed, so I'm wondering why we've been stuck at the bottom.

23. The actor is smoking hot. But I'm sure you already know that! It was hard to hide the hottness, even with the Ramona Quimby hairdo. Not to mention the fact that he was one of the greatest characters from any film/show/book/anything I've seen/read/consumed in the last few years.

7. I love Remus, and think he was quite in character in that scene. He's got loads of baggage and flaws - it's something we Remus fans have managed to ignore (I was convinced he was... not like that myself, heh), and that's what makes him great.

12. Ooh! Dogz ruled. I'd still play it, but I always lost interest after a few games, and my dogs would get mad at me for not having played. (I'm serious.)

39. Dude. You sound exactly like me and my friend. We love mpreg because of the exact same reasons you mentioned and plan out stories and stuff with mpreg and our current fandom interests, (but very privately since the general feeling towards mpreg is a bad one, of course) and like you mentioned, it's not something we want people seeing as part of our identity or anything.

BUT MAN, your being interested in the mental anguish and fear rather than the "OMG YAY BABIES?" EXACTLY US. And one of our biggest pet peeves is how people who aren't into mpreg make the "lol yaoi fangirls just want GUYS WITH BABIES" assumption and judge the kink on that basis. I mean, yeah, mpreg is weird, but those of us who like it aren't all braindead yaoitards. :\
