I have the Kindle app on my smartphone - I prefer that more than the Fire, it's a little bulky. Some of the thinner ones seem less unwieldy.

I have a Kindle Fire (the small one) and I enjoy it. My mother has the larger Kindle Fire and she LOVES it (now that she knows how to use it).

My Kobo Arc is great. Except I'm not a fan of the default library so I got the Moon Reader app and it's now 1000000% perfection.

I don't know how this person found me and she obviously hasn't come across my rare text posts or replies to reblogs, but like this girl on Tumblr started following me and when I went through her blog, all I could think was I could get her to stop watching me because she is SJW to the max. She's a black fetishizing white girl who belogged the giant text post about how Beethoven is supposedly black (which uses his death mask as proof, because God forbid white people have pouty looking mouths). She hasn't done anything yet, but we'll see.

So anyone else here have any crazy or weird Tumblr followers? I don't care the reasons, but stories are always great.

What's the most lurid, overwrought writing you've ever seen? Where did you find it?

I've been trawling the archives of Bad RPers Suck, and I just found this. From an ad for a game where everyone played as wolves:

The petite enchantress slinks out from behind the thicket which surrounds the outskirts of her land; frame bending, coiling and curving between the trees and foliage. As she comes closer you get a better look of her visage; an agathokakological beam plastered upon it, showing her 42 crimson stained ivories, her tympanums perked bolt upright, those radiating luminaires which seem to be sparkling golden with hints of caramel in hue pierce right through you. Next you direct your attention at her bodice, trying to read her body language; Is she here to kill you? Or simply curious? The alluring vixetta glides closer to where you are standing; her scapula move in sequence of each other, her powerful fulcrums bare scars along with the rest of her body, she is small yet you know she is not to be underestimated… Summus Tergum slants and curves as she perambulates even nearer, all with sheer elegance in her stride you prepare for your doom…Then she Parts her mandible from her maxilla, her salmon-hued ribbon beginning to vibrate as she starts to speak, her voice shocks you, it is not deep and cold like you expected, its like sing-song, sweet, gentle and warming with a risky edge.- ‘’Well, well, well.. You seem to have stumbled into our territory…’’ -Suddenly there is a low noise, it feels like the ground is shaking beneth your peds, it was a growl... You gaze around confused, only to find there are hundreds of pairs of occuli upon you.. The growling continues until the charcoal lupine before flicks her fifth appendage, in such a swift movement that it slices through the air, everyone falls silence the instant she does so.. The Alphess’ voice turns even more edgey as she speaks her last few words.- ‘’You better have a good reason for being here…. What's up with protagonists?!

A photo prompt and a secondary photo prompt, for those of us who like to have two ideas.

So what's everybody working on? I have to write a story that employs dialogue to propel the plot, reflect character, and provide subtext. I had an absolutely crackerjack idea on Monday night, but do you think I wrote it down? No. I decided sleep was more important. Will I ever learn?!

By the way, here is a list of 1950's slang terms. All USA, probably. Crackerjack isn't on there. I think that's more 20s or 30s but I think it's nuggets and I'm going to use it from now on. Really the word from the bird. Do you want your writing to sound hip and also hep? Use more 50s slang. Just go through all your drafts and throw it in wherever. You thought good writing was about character depth and plot? Nope. It's all about 50s slang. I need to stop.
