IDK if I'd say perfect, but Stephen (Mark Ruffalo) at the end of "The Brothers Bloom." He fakes getting shot so many times in the movie, and the last time is so subtle you think it's another trick until the dust has settled. It was a gut-punch for me.

Doc Webster from the Callahan's series by Spider Robinson. He was a beloved character who had been in every book over the course of thirty years, and the series closed with him gently going out with brain cancer.

It was sad, it was touching, it was a great way to end the series. Those books had been a part of my childhood and adolescence, and when I read the final book in 2005, it felt like the end of a chapter, in a good way.

Durge from "The Last Rune," a book series that I'll be pleasantly surprised if anyone here has actually read. It was such a well-written death that I actually wrote the author a fan letter once I was done crying.

I wouldn't say "favorite", because I'm still upset about it, but Fred Weasley. It must have been done well, because I'm, well, still upset about it ten years later. So, it gets my vote for maximum impact.

Boromir, cuz dude's a badass.

Frollo's scene (Disney version) was pretty awesome.

And, for humor's sake, the ending of Penn and Teller Get Killed.

I remember a while back, someone might have posted about some strange website or podcast that was creepy, and they couldn't go on it at night, it was "abandoned" and had cases or missions? I don't even remember...if someone does...can you please post it?

In any case...what are some podcasts and websites that you wouldn't dare frequent/listen to alone, especially at night?

Boss is offering us 16 hours of overtime this weekend. Extra money is always nice but I am not living paycheck to paycheck (I work on a tight budget). But I feel guilty about not going in to get extra money (I plan on working 6 hours Saturday but not really keen on going in on Sunday).

So when a friend found out she was pregnant, one of the first things she said was, "I don't want to only talk about my baby." Naturally almost all she talks about is... her baby. I don't blame her entirely, it's an exciting time and her son is adorable and I'm sure she's trying to work things out, but I miss when we talked about other things.

I've seen mothers on the internet claim that you almost can't talk about anything else when you have a baby, though, and wanted to know your thoughts on this. I've heard other people say this is bullshit, but a lot of them also seem to think any mention of kids is bad.
