Most "gender swap" (more accurately "biological sex swap") fics are very samey, and yet those same things do it for me.

When two people are in love with each other but don't realize the other person is in love with them and therefore they both think they're suffering from unrequited love.

Even better when there's another dumb misunderstanding like "they can do so much better than me" or "they're totally 100% straight" or "they're in love with someone else."

Well, if it is porn of my OTPs, I will probably enjoy it no matter how cliched it is. I've been known to enjoy the most cliched things if they are written about my OTPs. For me, it is less about specific cliches and more about being willing to forgive anything if I like the ship.

I will say that throne sex is a cliche in my OTP fandom, but I still love it every single time. I think most authors of the ship have written at least one throne sex fic. And I love them all. Actually, I think I'd say I like chair sex in general regardless of the pairing. Something about sex in chairs is just hot. IDK.

I'm thinking about leaving my job, and it's a really scary thing. There are some big changes coming down th pipe that I don't think I'm going to like, so much so that it's driving me to check job sites for my industry. I've found some that seem at first blush like they'd be a good fit, but now that the prospect could be a reality and not just a "maybe it's time to get out" idea, I'm terrified of pulling the trigger.

I've been here very nearly 5 years, am about to get a 3rd week of vacation (presuming there's ever time to take it) and have made it to a manager's role, and I'm wary of starting over. I just want roots somewhere. You know, I'm in my 30s and I want to find that place I can settle down and retire from instead of moving every 5 years.

Feel free to talk about other job stuff here, too.

However, I will be removing The Turner Diaries and from now on implementing a rule that books containing a blatant hate speech message will not be allowed. Thanks everyone for your feedback on this.
