I'm playing Blood and Wine on Witcher 3 and lost count of all the GoT references. I have only just seen the show in the last few weeks and never would have gotten all these laughs before and for that alone I'm glad I watched the show.

Lately I've been having a hard time expanding threads, going to page 2 or replying, because all my phone wants to do is highlight the text whenever I try to click a link. I don't know if it's just a DW thing or if it's that my Galaxy S3 is old AF.

Characters who are too good at being awful

I am reading a play for one of my literature classes, and one of the characters is just awful. He is a git who is self centered and pretentious and awful to everyone else in the play and I am definitely meant to hate him. And I do, but the problem is, I hate him so much its significantly dampening my enjoyment of the play, cause its just so frustrating to have to read what he says - I don't even want to see his comeuppance, I just want him gone.

Anyone else have experiences with media where there is a character that is meant to be disliked, but is actually so dislikable it makes story as a whole less enjoyable?

Poll is closed! The winner is Dracula by Bram Stoker!

For September, we are still reading Graceling by Kristen Cashore! Please let me know what your preference is for a discussion date! I am willing to try a Sunday this time (it would be October 2), or do a week day the preceding week. Which do you prefer? Let's maximize the number of people who will be able to participate in discussion!

Yay for Dracula!

I vote Saturday for the September discussion. I usually can only participate on weekends because the post goes up earlier. During the week it usually goes up in the middle of the night for me.

Sunday is Monday for me 😰

Saturday I can do I'll just be a bit late. I think, dog school might not be on my Sunday that week cause it's a long weekend.

I'm already writing my impressions 😏 Half way through book!
