I don't think he's heterosexual, either. I think he only had sex with Charlotte out of his own desperation, since Guts left him. And I also think he was never capable of loving a PERSON, that he was too power-fixated, and Guts was the strongest of his warriors and when he left him, Charlotte became his new stepping stone.

15. People feel a greater need to "fix it" in fandoms without canon gayness. In places that it already exists, you just get less because they're already together. I don't know why it works that way, but it does.

07. What it basically an issue with her acting? Because, otherwise, think it's fairer to point your fingers at the writers instead.

15. Well, I think part of it is that it’s more fun to play with a non-canon ship. You have more creative control, basically, because you don’t already have the relationship in canon describing how they would interact as a couple, how they would first get together, etc.

48. Dude, no. Stop. I think what’s happening is that slash is not your thing, and you’re still being flooded with it due to your friends not knowing when to stop. I had the same reaction to certain characters whom I found physically unattractive. Like, not gross, just not for me. But with the more drooling and squealing and graphic descriptions of sex acts involving them, I found myself actually getting repulsed by them. I suggest making it clear to your friends that it’s not for you, avoiding slash aspects of fandom, or even taking a break from the internet, since it’s starting to affect your RL, which is a big no-no.

Just don't get all, "OMG, I HATE the GAYZ!" That's sorta taking an unnecessary leap.

13. TRC is kind of fun, but if you haven't read much stuff by CLAMP, it'll lose a lot of its appeal. It is basically a fun AU crossover series that has a couple new characters and really effed up plot twists. If you don't know the characters, it won't be nearly as fun.

12- Ok, think of it this way (And I know there's OOC, but think of it this way and maybe you'll understand) 3-10% of all people are gay (And those are generally considered low estimates). I don't know the exact percentage of fictional gay character in Medium with a supposedly realistic setting (i.e. a world with no woman wouldn't be "normal", but it's significantly lower. Say it's 1% there's still 2-9% of character that should be gay. Slash fans are just exploring it.

13- I enjoy it, but not the anime. And it wouldn't be the clamp series I'd recommend first by far.

15- Because 90% of real BL stuff is cliched crap with the same two character and same plot lines? They're just the gay manga equivalents of Harlequin romances.

45- A little bit of both maybe?

I get that it's just a thing people do for fun, and I'm cool with that, really. I sure have my own little "what if...?" fantasy scenarios I come up with. But my issues with so much of the yaoi I see is that it seems like a lot of people take characters that are written as straight by the author and put them in these homoerotic scenarios, and in the process of doing that, have to change the character/s.

Now het authors can be just as guilty of this, too, don't get me wrong, and it bugs me just as much when they do it. But because yaoi and slash are everywhere, in every fandom, and seem to constitute a very large portion of most of the fanworks produced, and with people liking different pairings, that turns into a LOT of OOC for a LOT of characters. And when OOC bothers you, but you still want to take part in fandom, it can get really old, really fast. Just my pet peeve, but I know I sound bad ragging on the yaoi fans about it.

Trufax. Almost nobody I know plays him, possibly for the same reason.

Plus, he doesn't have Lucas's up smash. Anyone without Lucas's up smash is clearly an inferior character.

06. Thank you. Seriously, thank you! I've been working on an original story for quite some time now -- which, needless to say, features a love story between two men set during World War II -- but I've felt really nervous about it. So it's really nice to see that there's people like you out there.

15. It's not that I don't understand your frustration, but... The majority of writers probably find it a lot more fun and challenging to work out a way to pair up characters from a "normal" series, than writing for something that is BL to begin with (and would thus be established relationships). Know what I mean?

It's partially bitterness, but when you train against hardest-level computers and your (really good) brother for a month, and people who pick up for the first time beat you with Pit, it gets really, really, REALLY old. I probably wouldn't mind if it wasn't that EVERYBODY used him and seemed so proud that they can beat people with him.
The fact is that a lot of people have Pit as their favorite because he's cheap. =P Kind of like people that use pokemon teams entirely made of legendaries... sure, it's a good team, and they may be your favorites... but it's still really fucking cheap.
