Okay, drawing the line between canon and fanon is one thing. It's sane and puts a lid on many a useless debate.

But that last phrase? FAIL.

I personally have a not-so-secret weakness for like, say... if Sora and Kairi get together, or Sora and Riku, and then they break up because they figure out it doesn't work, or it just gets too awkward, or for whatever reason. And dfgsdf still being as close as ever after that? And even consulting each other on future relationships with teasing "I know you like that~" moments? Oh man. Just, friendships that last through break-ups are the sweetest thing ever for me, and I can see any relationship between the three or involving all of them to turn out so easily like that because of their bond. It makes me flail and love all over in a way romantic ships that get their happy endings never could. ♥

That said, I do ship Sora/Riku a little bit rabidly, but I definitely see where you're coming from. Fics with them as friends hanging out and having fun, especially with a Kairi (who is written well and not bitchy or boring), can get me wibbling just as much as fics with them getting together. And yeah, sometimes I do feel like sexualizing them can ruin the purity of their friendship a lot. (I could personally never have a one-night-stand with Riku if he existed, simply because I respect him too much, for example.)

Hmm, I like that idea. The dating/not working/still friends thing. I could definitely get into a fic like that. Too bad fic like that barely exists, if at all. I guess I shouldn't complain, though, since I'm not going to write it either, lol.

And I absolutely hate when authors portray Kairi to be some slut, bitch, or generally unlikeable. I like her! I tend to like male characters more, but Kairi's too nice to not like, you know?

I mean, I have nothing against shipping them, to each their own, right? I just wish there was more genfic.

Nobody has any idea it's there. TWOP forums are to be avoided--serious buisness in there. XD It's so tiny and quiet and a few people totally miss the point of the show. I would love to see some people with a bigger sense of humor get more involved.

And if you like slash...(I don't normally see slash anything)....Reaper is so overflowing with slashy lol subtext all over the place. It's kinda boiling over and hard to miss.

A) Concrete facts to counter your LOLtacular statement: The entire Twilight series has sold only over half what Deathly Hallows sold in ONE DAY in the U.S. That includes paper back sales of the Twilight books. Lol at it kicking HP's ass. Get some perspective. Most of the general public doesn't even know what it is. Twilight is also not a big international success.
B) I didn't think the last HP book sucked. It was my favorite of the series and I'm far from alone in that opinion. A lot of people liked it best.
C) When was the Harry Potter fandom ever "nice?"
D) If you think all of the people who hate Twilight are Potter fans, you could not be any more incorrect.

Very secret response: And same here, once again. I find it nice, actually; it's interesting to see how people interpret them. Haven't found much, though, sadly enough. This movie needs a bit more fandom, but that's just my opinion.

1. Glad I'm not alone.

2. Glad I'm not alone here either. People go around saying 'Oh, I remember my first OTP', and I hadn't figured out that my OTP was my OTP...and I felt really, really dumb when I figured it out: my first slash pairing was a lamp and a radio!

3. I've spent so much time around people who complain about this sort of thing that I'm really timid about admitting it. And yes, this film needs a bigger fandom like burning. It distresses me how little fanart/fanfic there is, never mind that almost everyone I've talked to remembers this movie.

TV...show? (Where does that come from? I don't remember saying anything.) No, they never did anything outside of those two direct-to-video sequels. I kind of wish that Disney, in all their money-hungry glory, had put out some merchandise or something along with the sequels, since they weren't really involved with the first. Figurines for my Shelf of Disney Memorobilia would be nice...

35. Please say you're a troll. If I didn't have an exam tomorrow I'd write more regardless, but I need to go read some real literature in a minute. Question, though. What makes you think that all the people who bash Twilight are HP fans? I don't touch the Harry Potter fandom with a twelve-foot pole and I've bashed the Twilight series to bits for the simple reason that the books are awful and some of the fans just take things waaaay too seriously.

Also, HP fandom was probably never "nice". No gigantic fandom will ever be like that, I think. This is the reason why I never got into it :S

51. It's not canon, no, but don't take claims about things being canon too seriously and it's alright. (IMO, I don't get why shipping wars have to happen Dx I wish people could just keep an open mind. T^T'' I sometimes end up shipping multiple, conflicting pairings and I can't pick sides D:::: ) I adore LockonxTieria and I see it as something that could be read into the subtext of the show, but the "evidence" that is there isn't obvious enough to construe the pairing as canon, especially since if anything, it would have to be one-sided. Tieria is a social retard, so whatever he feels towards Lockon could be expressed wrongly or mistaken for love, if you wanted it to. His total androgyny doesn't really help things either, all things considered, i'm also one of those people who's hoping that they'll be exploring that side of Tieria in the second season. :'/

Unless you mean Sylar is Jewish. In which case, it's kind of nonsensical to connect the actor's physical traits to the ethnicity of his character. And the character's ethnicity has never been established, unless I missed that episode where Gabriel went to temple.
