Oh, I'm so glad that someone else is thinks this.

I was interfered with. I don't talk about it - not from any terrible repression or anything, but I don't really think about it, ever. It's just not relevant, to, well, anything in my life: one shitty moment does not define you for the rest of your life, and it's just so fucking irritating that people seem to think it does.

It especially pisses me off when it's thrown around (in RL as well as fandom) as an excuse to justify why someone is an asshole - like it's a get out of jail free card, or something. (Why do people need a reason to be assholes anyway? Some people just are. Accept it, world.)

But, because I don't wave the abuse flag around, if you try saying that the best thing to do is just get on with your life, people start telling you that you're a heartless bitch.

I dunno, I guess most people who watch it don't fandom it because... it's kinda one of those shows most people don't really fandom. Like Scrubs and Friends. But whatever. I'm excited to see a Reaper secret. And you're totally right, it's really hit the high point at the moment. At the beginning I only thought they had Kevin Smith in as consultant for the slacker humour - I didn't twig on the stuff he played with in Dogma until all the stuff with Tony and Steve started.

07. ...Why, exactly? Austen's novels aren't really all that sappy. And Sense and Sensibility is all about how great loves are really very unlikely in the scheme of things.

16. Oh, um, gosh. I don't watch Supernatural, but I'm kind of curious now. What's so awful about this Bela? Even quite reasonable people seem to hate her, so it can't all be fandom crazy, can it?

20. The Doctor is the biggest fucking Sue in the series, okay? Closely followed by Jack. So is Jenny, but she's the only one who seems to get crap for it. Awesomely over-powered characters are the name of the game in most fantasy/sci-fi, the trick is in the first word: awesome. I love all those characters.

35. I really have never been afraid of a fandom quite like the "Twilight" fandom. Weirded out? Sure. Icked out? Yep. Bored out? Many. But actually afraid that if I said something bad about Bella in the presense of a rabid fan, they'd pull my hair from its roots or scratch my eyes out.

Why are so many girls obsessed with this series?

I am in the middle of reading the first book and Bella is one of the most passive aggressive fictional characters that I have ever read. And she's a good guy. That's what kills me. If she were an anti-hero or an out and out villian, I wouldn't mind. I love messed up characters. I read Palahnuik and Charlie Huston simply because I knew I will get some of the most damaged characters set to print. But, again, Bella, is written to be a white hat. So, what does that say about her fandom?


77. Yeah, bring on the Locke love. He and Ben are the main reasons why I stick with the show. They are the mystery. Weird stuff happens when Locke is around. Strange enough, anyone who is paired with Locke instantly becomes 10x as interesting.

Miles with Jack = dull
Miles with Locke = A grenade in the mouth excitement

Sawyer with Kate X Jack = Romantic boredom
Sawyer with Locke = Crazy Barracks shootout followed by Smokey cameo.

Hurley with the other survivors = I found a van...wow.
Hurley with Locke = I found a cabin that moves on its own and is run by a powerful mysterious force.

See a pattern?

In the end, because he had such a messed up life up to the Island, I hope Locke ends up being the hero of the story. But I've got the feeling that the whole cabin thing with Christian and Ben saying, "You are the chosen one," is a set up for Locke to be a sacrifice of some sort.

Your comment is just a big fat generalized version of what every reasonable person thinks when they decide against entering Twilight fandom. xD As a girl, I don't get the flight from reality insanity that takes place in the fandom, either. But then, in general I don't think it's the best thing I've ever read, so maybe it's the reading level of the majority of fans. *shot*

26. You're not the only one! I love the trio as friends, and I feel that any pairings between any of them (Sora/Kairi, Riku/Kairi, and even Riku/Sora) would either a) make one feel left out or b)destroy the dynamic they have. Even shipping them as a threesome just makes them lose something, IMO.

31 - Holy crap, Animorphs. I LOVE ANIMORPHS HARDCORE AND STILL HATE THE ENDING. It was just not right.

53 - Are you refering to the couple in the movie, or the actress and actor? If it's shipping the actors... yes, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai do have good chemistry. But dude, they're both happily married! Shipping actors and actresses is just too weird.

22 I love both Daniels too. The other seasons are worth watching, they *are* interesting, I promise! Daniel gets to be much more authoritative and that's always fun to watch. Not sure whether you aren't sure if you'd like her or not, but the show's producers weren't wrong when they thought Vala and Daniel's chemistry on the show (whether or not it's culminated) was great to watch. Those are some very fun episodes, and Prometheus Unbound remains one of my top ten favorite SG-1 episodes ever.

35 Hey, if you think his 'scintillating arms' and her swooning is good literature, I don't WANT you to like me. You can STUFF your opinion if you think the reason a lot of us despise that series is because we're jealous. That literally made me LOL like crazy. Enjoy it if you must, but seriously, seriously?
