I always knew that chocolate was a big part of the ice cream industry, but what I see here at icecreamsecrets SCARES me.
Seriously.
I'm not anti-cocoa, I have (a few) kinds of chocolate that I like (tootsie rolls, cocoa krispies), but this whole chocolate-loving phenomenon is extremely SCARY and makes me want to pee my pants in abject fear.

At first I thought, it's great that people are so open-minded, and they have so much fun with wild and CRACKED OUT FLAVORS like chocolate chip or fudge swirl. I mean, how totally wacky and weird! Who ever heard of chocolate in ice cream?? You guys are smokin' crack, I tell ya! Really, it's just fun.

But I feel like most of you         don't even consider vanilla ice cream. The tables have completely turned, and non-chocolate ice creams are the ones that are being looked at strangely, horror of horrors.

(Of course we can't generalize in this and there are still lots of vanilla-based flavors, as a matter of fact most of the popular flavors in the grocery store are vanilla-based, but I love to exaggerate.)

Really, I'm just FURIOUS that there are many extremely good vanilla ice creams which nobody here likes because so many people are focused on chocolate.

And I knew that if they had chocolate sauce on them, many of you would like them too.

Now pardon me while I go board up my freezer, just in case all this frightening chocolate tries to seep out and make me like it in my sleep.

18. Possibly TL;DR story time: I avoided Gundam like the PLAGUE. A friend had to practically beat me over the head to get me to watch Gundam 00. I finally gave in. Much love. Another friend wanted me to see more of Gundam. So. I saw G-Gundam next. More love. Watched Original Gundam.

Okay. WTF?

At least now I know who Char is and what he is like, but seriously. But the whole time I am thinking "Why should I care for any of these characters?" The only character I started to care about dies like 30 minutes later.

I haven't watched Wing yet. But since I forced a Wing fan to watch 5 episodes of 00, I promised I would give Wing a try. >.> Which. I probably should work on that effort. ( October is sooo far away. ) If Original Gundam is waaay better than Wing, I might bash my head into a wall over and over again.

Eh, comparing the original Gundam to modern incarnations of the show is simply not fair IMO - it's one of those classics that were great and influential in their time but didn't really age well. (Not to mention it was made for an audience that was fundamentally different than the audience from... well, every Gundam since Wing. That is, girls and fanboys.) In any case, you may want to try other series in the UC Gundam continuity - Z, 0083 (aka Stardust Memory), and maybe even 0080 (aka War in the Pocket) that starts out like a kiddie show and ends up being one of the most depressing anime I've ever seen.

Me, I believe that 0079 is way better than Wing, but then I hate Wing with a passion, mostly for the same reasons as the OP, and also for starting the "angsty and slashy pretty boys in mecha" trend that I don't really appreciate. But if you like that and are not bothered by having shallow and demagogue "messages" about war hammered into you head then you'll probably love Wing.

52. I did like Jar Jar when I saw Episode I the first time... when I was 10. When I rewatched the prequels recently, I found him quite annoying. However, I don't wish a horrible death on him like the rest of the Star Wars fandom apparently does.

I don't find the anime as sucky as what you're making it out to be. And as far as the Queen of the world goes, does that mean you don't agree with Britain having a Queen and King? And as for them being so young, who would think that someone so young could beat the shit out of them? They could us it as cover since nobody would suspect a student at a school being a notorious terrorist. And as for me watching it when I was little, I don't have warm fuzzies over it because I watched it so young. I still like it to this day and watch it quite frequently. But hey, its your opinion.

Wait, what? Since when did Richard Dawkins have anything to do with philosophy? He's a biologist and has never pretended to be anything else. If you took The God Delusion as a philosophical work, you are the champion of missing the point. If you take atheism in general as anything having to do with philosophy, you are also missing the point.

It's probably his worst book, yes (there is a couple I've yet to read), and personally I found the 'Ultimate 747' argument that was the core of the 'disproving God' part of the book to be intellectually unsatisfying since it is all too easy to just wave it off with the easy assumption that an omnipotent God could just as well create himself, but to criticize it for not being 'real philosophy' is just plain bizarre. It never tried to be philosophy in the first place.

I totally know what you mean with this. I much prefer the "Average Joe" type to the ruffles. Have you read the (three volume) manga, The Wanderer by Narumi Kakinouichi? I think it might be right up your ally. It's a spin off of her Vampire Princess Miyu series, but focuses on a side character called Sei Kodo. I recommend it, if you can find it.
