Protip for the person who's linking their secrets from Geocities: FIND A DIFFERENT SERVER. Photobucket holds up longer, and if you EVEN WERE CRAZY ENOUGH to go with something that made you truly anonymous, you could try Tinypic.

106. Yeah. It'll go away eventually, like the Heroes secretspam did.

125. Can't really blame you, but I just know sex with him would end in HORRIBLE VIOLENT DEATH for his partner, while he cackles maniacally all the while. Which is fabulous if you like snuff, but it's not really my thing.

126. Mmm. Fandom?

135. No, you won't. All fandoms taper off when their canon finishes, but not all of them actually die -- and I doubt HP will be one of the ones that does. And even if it is, you'll find a new fandom, just like everyone else does.

171. Initial reaction: Christ, can't a girl enjoy both games and their antagonists in peace?

Secondary reaction: KEFKA > SEPHIROTH is old meme.

Tertiary reaction: ...you know, I would still totally read that, ahahahahaha.

Go to hell.

[identity profile] amethyst-wolf.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
144: I haven't played Mass Effect, but I love my Fem!Revan, but it's almost like it was a forced thing on their parts. I don't know. I hate the forced canon shit, though.

145: oh god that's pretty hot

165: HOLY SHIT I know D:
I can't watch that movie anymore just because of that. And I think you may be right about that last bit- or I wouldn't be surprised, anyway.

169: Very much agreed.

170: I have no idea what you're talking about, but Girl Genius secret? Awesome sauce.

171: ...I-I love you.

170

She wants to see Agatha tag along with the Doctor. Egad, she'd probably end up building a better Sonic Screwdriver.

163

[identity profile] smiles.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
163. So much YES. I cannot even watch that movie. It pains me. The book was so GOOD. And the sad part is a lot of people don't realize it's a book and never read the awesomeness that HMC really is.

[identity profile] tahneemonkee.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
138. I LOVE THIS BOOK. :D

103

[identity profile] anbyrobanby.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, thank fuck I'm not the only one.

[identity profile] mechanicaljewel.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
130: I wonder how much you can really know about Rorschach without having read the book. I mean, Wikipedia all that, but it's definitely not the same as actually reading his story.

156: IAWTMFC. So. Fucking. Hard. Should we set up an enclave on LJ? I'm tempted.

161. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL That is too perfectly true.

162. Seriously, I refuse to die if one or the other doesn't come to get me.

163

(Anonymous) 2008-08-03 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
i'm planning to read the book and i'm sure i'll like that version better, too.

but howl will always have christian bale's voice for me. it was just SO damn sexy.

(i don't know why)

Re: 163

[identity profile] black-hayate.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
At least you have Bale. The Italian voice was horrible D:

101. YES. Two Face/Harvey Dent/Aaron Eckhart need moar love.
128. Ugh, I know. I have such an embarrassing crush on animated!Robin (Don’t crushed on the Robin in the secret, but I think that’s mostly because I haven’t really watched the show yet)
130. Dude, are you me?
141. *hug* Oh, I so know what you mean. I wish I could help you. ;__; I’m getting into an rp with someone, and I’m kinda scared how Harley will stand up next to their Joker…
145. I never really liked this pairing, but it’s squicked me since the animated episode where Batman says how he (essentially) sees Gordon as a stand in for his father. Unless you like that kinda thing, in which case good for you. Or if you just look at it movie wise, that’s fine too…
159. Oh man. If he was the next Doctor, that’d so get me watching the show. That would be awesome.
170. Y! See above thing~. Though, Agatha never struck me as a sidekick type…

[identity profile] keeraa.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
176. ....BEST TWILIGHT SECRET, EVER. If I am ever forced to read a part of that series again, I am totally trying that.

#130: Copypasted shamelessly from another forum:

--------------------------------
* (dialogue between Dan "Nite Owl" Dreiberg and Laurie "Silk Spectre" Juspeczyk, two retired superheroes)

Laurie: Hey, do you remember that guy? The one who pretended to be a supervillain just so he could get beaten up?
Dan: Oh, you mean Captain Carnage. Ha ha ha! He was one for the books.
Laurie: You're telling me! I remember, I caught him coming out of this jewelers. I didn't know what his racket was. I started hitting him and I think, "Jeez! He's breathin' funny! Does he have asthma?"
Dan: Ha ha ha. He tried that with me, only I'd heard about him, so I just walked away. He followed me down the street... Broad daylight, right? He's saying "Punish me!" I'm saying "No! Get lost!"
Laurie: Ha ha ha! whatever happened to him?
Dan: Uh, well, he pulled it on Rorschach and Rorschach dropped him down an elevator shaft.
Laurie: PHAAA HA HA HA! Oh, God, I'm sorry, that isn't funny, Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!
Dan: Ha Ha Ha! No, I guess it's not...
Laurie:Ahuh. Ahuhuhuh...Jeez, y'know, that felt Good. There don't seem to be that many laughs around these days.
Dan: Well, what do you expect? The Comedian is dead.

--------------------------------

#171: You too? XD

#176: Oh man...I'm going to have to try that, because honestly I don't think there is any other way I could get through this series.

DOSTOEVSKY SECRET AAAAAHHHHHH

SO MUCH WIN!!!!!

I'm about 30 pages from the end of C+P right now, and I love it so much I'm almost afraid to finish it.

177

[identity profile] hola-meg-a-cola.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
YES.

The episode would have been so much more enjoyable if River Tamm were there. I mean, "Firefly" takes place in the future.

Also, River Tamm for next companion XD

[identity profile] demyx.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
142. Me too.

I think what really will bug me though is that his death will apparently be a cause to celebrate within the fandom. While I am very happy that nobody danced on Shirley's grave (as I expected they would because now Shirley is "out of the way"), the fact that it came at the cost of my favorite character's reputation in fandom... *sigh* Man, I just can't win with the characters I like LMAO.

But who knows, maybe fandom will shed a few tears for Rolo too. :[ Or hopefully Nina will die in the same episode and everyone will be too busy celebrating that. Maybe.

[identity profile] laifan.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
135 - Don't you think you're overreacting a bit? Is it that important to you? Surely you have things more important than Harry Potter fandom, no?

142 - Man all I could think when Shirley died was 'WTF?! She dies?!' Yeah I went in denial. I hated that he killed her >_< But I'll also be sad when he dies.

176

[identity profile] missmayze.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
LMAO! I should have done something like that while reading New Moon. It would have made all the angst much more tolerable.

Woohoo, Firefly/Whoniverse crossover secrets!

110: I'm not 100% sure I would, but I so totally know where you're coming from.

112: No, it's not just you, but remember that there are a lot of new (and quite young) fans who don't read Western comics and have seen this film mostly for the star power, for whom this is their first exposure to the bigger ideas. The BT,DT reaction is mostly from the older fen.

114: Whee, Excel Saga secret!

135: *points to the LotR fandom* Just because the author isn't writing any more doesn't mean the fandom is dead or dying. (Especially since the Potterfandom still has two movies to go.)

137: A local a cappella group does a Schoolhouse Rock medley as one of their signature pieces. It gets more applause than anything else they do. Everyone in the group, and 99% of their audience, is over 21.

146: That never would have occurred to me, but you have a point there. (Mal/Simon had so much more chemistry than Simon/Kaylee anyway . . .)

177: I've seen a couple of fanart jokes about that already. It would be kind of awesome, wouldn't it?

133

[identity profile] towerofwisdom.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
133. I know you'll never read this, it's stuck among tons of comments but OH MY GOD. You understand. Someone else understands. ;_; TamirxBrother otp *cough*.

Man, I miss Simon and Mal. I totally shipped them, series and film. I can't tell who's in the other pic (Ianto/Jack?), but I haven't yet found a pairing that reminds me of Doc/Mal. =(

130 - Okay. But he wouldn't get anywhere near you, no matter who you are or what you look like. I think once you've read the book, you'll feel differently.

136 - Me too. Overall pretty disappointing.

156 - I hate being a fandom snob, but I'm with you on this one.

162 - ILU

Speaking as someone who's read the book multiple times, nah, I'd still hit that.

Then again, my taste in fictional characters is...different.

I can't help but think this is fucking weird only because Barbara's going to be Batgirl. Which makes no sense, I know.

WTF, self?

Then again, they gave Gordon a son and hid Barbara in a corner so most people who saw the movie don't even know what I'm talking about...

Re: 145

[identity profile] badalice.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I do :D
And Gordon is kind of old >_>

I'd rather have Bruce/Harvey anyway.

112. Honestly? With how many secrets about the Joker I see, I'm wondering how many people are really just hopping onto the trend train.

146. ...what? I admit: I love the pretty that is Mal/Simon, but. If you're talking about that "could have been" like it's canon or possible, please don't. That's kinda disturbing, considering how straight they are, the age gap, and the fact Mal is the closest thing to a daddy figure Simon will have again.

146

(Anonymous) 2008-08-03 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)

SECOND! mmm, russian lit slash.

Hurray for Russian Lit love! Hurray for Dostoyevsky love! Hurray for Crime and Punishment love!

...I love that painting so much, y'know. I don't think I could have a copy of Crime and Punishment with anything else on the front. (still isn't as damn nice as my Notes from the Underground cover, but *strokes*)

(and psssh, relating to him just shows that Dostoyevsky did a good job of characterisation, don't be afraid. ...at least, that's what I say.)

(Anonymous) 2008-08-04 07:25 am (UTC)(link)
Aaack, my copy has a picture of some bearded guy on the front cover, and I'm not sure if it's Raskolnikov or Dostoyevsky or the man who translated that particular version. I would really prefer to have the copy with that cover, but oh well.
