157: If you beat Sacred Stones, you'll probably be able to beat the others. Maybe not the japanese only ones, but The gamecube and Wii ones are probably EASIER than sacred stones, if you take them both on their easiest difficulty. The other GBA one will probably slap you around a bit, though. But that's the fun of the games, at least for me. It's no fun if the game just rolls over and lets you win, eh?

114. Oh god, I know! How dare they spend all their precious time slaving away at work they're so passionate about! Whether they be doing it out of sheer fun or they might even be aspiring novelists that are strengthening their writing skills, it's just disgusting. I mean, it's not -that- hard to get published and to find a good promoter and editor, right? Ugh. And the fact that they're assuming other people would even take a second to enjoy all the work and effort, that there are people out there who enjoy reading through something that long when they can just read a book is preposterous! Go spend all that time on an actual book that can have the same exact content except it's a -book-! It's -supposed- to be that long!

128. Uh... did it ever cross your mind that she was just embarrassed? I get like that sometimes when I decide to take a little while to glance at the manga section of a bookstore only to find other people there. I can't help that I'm being secretly judged for what I'm picking out, which is ridiculous, I know, because odds are I'll never see these people again, but I can't help it. And as much as I hate to say it, I sometimes try to take a peek at what other people get, but that's mostly out of sheer curiosity.

163. Are you kidding me? I have favorite series that stretch out over -tons- of genres, though I do tend to drift more towards shonen/seinen stuff. Anything that interests me though, I'll read. I don't care what people think. Guro, shojo, action-adventure, comedy, romance, whatever. I don't see why your friends should be getting so worked up about it. It's not like you're -defiling- the name of certain genres because you're not sticking to only them. "Oh noes we both read shojo but you picked up a horror series! BLASPHEMER." I think it's great when people that tend to stick to only one type of genre end up drifting out to another. It shows the influence of the second genre or series that they're getting into. :)

103 I find it odd that you assume that everyone that has a problem with this is in school, and apparently white. And I don't know why I should have to provide my bona fides to someone I don't know. I also find this a really insulting assumption. I think that representation in media is hugely important, because it underscores (or undermines) the assumptions that people make about minority groups. 161 I always worry that people will feel hurt if I don't try their shows. But that just resulted in a lot of people hounding me about things, and it's made me resentful. I just forced myself to watch all of BSG, even though I hated most of it, just to get everyone to STFU about how omg, I will totally love it. (In fact, I didn't watch it, because I hated it, and then I said I'd read the recaps on TWOP, and they yelled at me about that too, so I "had" to read the recaps on the BSG wiki.) You might want to give your friend a little space so she doesn't get resentful too. Also you should go into those fandoms and find people to talk to, and then you won't feel so dependent on your friend. Because just because I don't like your show doesn't mean I don't like you, and it can be a lot of pressure when someone is always on you to watch/read stuff.

103. I take offense to this. I've always wanted to do those things, but the boonwater town I live in lacks the resources (both financially and regarding anybody else giving a fuck) for me to do so. The casting protests have given me an outlet to do something in that direction, and I'm hoping will help me find ways to get resources out here to Chickenshit, Georgia for my own ideas. And I doubt I'm the only one.
