123. Do it anyway. I want to read it.
139. This is basically the best secret ever posted.

Watchmen secrets seem all right so far -- no "Rorschach is my s00per-sekrit soulmate/r0ole model" one. Yet. :/

108. That pretty much describes everyone I've talked to from a certain fandom (won't tell you which one, but look at what communities I'm a part of and you could guess).

109. I know, and I don't even watch the show! :D

114. Feh, I hate The Onion.

122. I know how it feels, though I don't think it's a good idea to post stuff for the intent of other people reading it. I mostly write for myself, first and foremost. Besides, you never know who's looking at what you're writing and not commenting.

130. Oh, how ironic. D: (Didn't see the season 3 premiere -- haven't seen the show at all, actually -- but I heard what happened.)

135. I guess I'm the same way, but there are things I'm more willing to put out there. Though I'm on an never-ending quest to figure out how much personal info is too much. I don't get too self-conscious, because it's not like anyone cares, but you never know. (rambly response is rambly)

Also, 111

[identity profile] quadruplify.livejournal.com 2009-03-15 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I hear ya, man. Though I hate to say the whole "making friends" business is harder than it looks. :(

101. I totally understand this. It was an odd mix of sadness and nostalgia and the movie hadn't even started yet.

107. ME TOO. Both times I knew what was going to happen because I'd been spoiled for it, but I teared up during the movie. Maybe it's because there's that added effect of music/voices/movement?

120. *FACEPALM* oh Smeyer.

165. How much of the actual story/content did they edit or take out? I remember a school in Dallas was doing it in the fall too.

Re: 165 - belated reply!

[identity profile] ginnyseta.livejournal.com 2009-03-23 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
They did not edit much of the story at all. Language was changed and a few alterations, but it still had all the sex, drugs, homosexuals, and all of that. It was extremely faithful to the story and meaning of the show.

The OP was either using a different script or thought removing the word fuck was a crime.

107: To be honest, I liked Rorschach better in the movie because of the way JEH portrayed him. I mean, I liked him a lot in the graphic novel, but JEH made him much more sympathetic.

116: I dislike Ozy regardless. Though he was admittedly better in the graphic novel. The actor in the movie, was, in my opinion, extremely bland and gave the character no personality to speak of whatsoever (though this is also the fault of the writer of the screenplay.)

SPOILERS AHEAD.

Wow... what were the odds that a Blurr secret would be posted, after what happened on Transwarped this weekend...?

My problem was, by the time IT happened, I was really starting to like Blurr a lot. Moschitta did such a good job of adding character to him this time around. And he's still got one of the coolest designs ever.

101. me too.

115. I grew up with them. It's going to be ridiculously weird without Steve. :(

139. I hate Weird Al. He reminds me of people I don't like. He probably is a space alien.

144. OMG yes! My friends talk about all that stuff so much. It's so annoying! It's why I can't read Neil Gaimen or watch Buffy because I am so sick of hearing them talk about it. The sad part is it's probably really good too. (If I have to hear about Naruto or Airbender one more time, someone will get hurt xD)

148. There are a few fics that I would pay authors to finish but it would probably be extremely awkward. I hate when I'm reading something amazing and they never update it again.

159. this broke my heart. :(

107 Oh, same here, same here. Jackie Earle Haley's acting was simply phenomenal, no two ways about it. I don't even like Rorschach but I teared up. Patrick Wilson also deserves a mention for managing to do the "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" without making it cheesy or just plain amusing.
109 I would also... hit that. Like a Koenigsegg hitting a tire wall.
131 I know the feeling. I have this one watcher who faves everything I do, even when I submit two very similar photos (usually one in my main gallery and one in scraps).

107. I’m a bad fan too, I guess.

111. Friends are good, anon. I was a loner for the large majority of my life, but I started to gradually become more social—it doesn’t work for everyone, but I encourage you to give it a try!

114. I’m starting to think that most people who claim that ‘Hetalia is racist’ just think it’s stupid. Nothing more. *is one of those people*

116. I have no shame in admitting that I am just as apathetic about Adrian as I was upon first reading the graphic novel, but hot damn does Matthew Goode do the job.

120. Brb throwing up in my mouth a little.

124. I’m not even into celebrities or that kind of music at all, but that would be excellent.

163. I didn’t even like the first sisterhood, tbh. I hated this one even more.

101: Awww, I can understand why. I don't think I did, though I was definitely emotional.

102: It happened cause...well damn look at him. I totally want to draw little hearts around him too.

107: It doesn't make you a bad fan. People are just affected by different media differently. Also you're hardly alone.

110: Y'know what OP? Voice your opinion anyway. As long as you're doing so in a respectful manner all those whiny wanky little children will have to deal with it. Fandom needs more people standing up for their right to have thoughts and opinions that don't agree with the status quo.

111: Eh, not necessarily. I mean if you want to go get some friends by all means do so, but there's nothing wrong with being a loner. Our preference in fanfic is not an indicator of...much of anything really.

115: I'm sad too OP but aren't they doing solo work? You can follow that. Also you'll always have their previous music and the future hope of reunion tours. You'll be okay.

119: I've had that experience, especially when I first hang up a new poster or picture. Once I get used to it there I can ignore it though.

122: I think online blogs are, in general, ways to convince ourselves into thinking we're not just talking to ourselves.

123: Dude write it anyway, AD was hardly the first whacky family story and it won't be the last. Ever read 'Running with Scissors'?

136: Good luck.

159: Awww, sorry your dad sucks man.

110 OP

(Anonymous) 2009-03-16 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
I wish I could honestly tell you just how much your comment meant. Really.

I'm not trying to be a whiny baby with my secret. What scares me is that many fandoms are starting to adopt the ideas of the Nazis - if you don't agree with our opinion, screw you! Go to hell! DIAF!

What happened to being able to voice your opinion in hopes of finding someone or some people who agree with you?

And I honestly wasn't trying to be disrespectful when I voiced my opinion because I don't believe in being disrespectful when it comes to voicing your opinion.

Or maybe we thought the gameplay was merely average. you know, the part of the game that MAKES IT A GAME?

Or maybe we thought the plot had a horrible start and took a while to build up steam.

Or maybe we just hated having the only healer for half the game get kidnapped 40000000 times.
