It's funny, I can see the comparison but I feel like there's quite a big difference between them. I think it's because Luke goes through such an arc in the original movies whereas Daniel Jackson is much more constant through the Stargate series IMO. So I tend to think of Luke as either whiny, super-young, just-finding-out-about-the-Jedi Luke, or super-mature Jedi Knight Luke, and I tend to think of Daniel as somewhere in between those extremes.

Both great characters though!

Unfortunately for me I encountered someone where part of the attraction was he was a bit of a Daniel to me and...he was awful. Treated me like someone who he could call on whenever he was having a meltdown but would never do the same for me. It put me off.

I imagine there's plenty of people who enjoy porn parodies. I imagine they're over the top and ridiculous, and it makes fun of something you already enjoy without fully sporking it.
