I know the feeling! I do it all the time. do you have any merch or skins or something you have that had to have been gotten preceding your friendship? it's can be really validating for your friens for you to say some version of what you're saying here, i.e. "i have to tell you, i was afraid of posting about X alone, but now that you've done it you've inspired me to post a lot more [pic of thing that can only have happened pre-friendship]" it's a compliment to your friend then.

I've never suggested this before, but I say send your friend this secret with a sweat-drop emoji and say, "so...guess what". I'm sure they'll be happy. And this way you've already written your train of thought out, which is arguably the hardest part.

I think it would be good to tell your friend. Chances are your friend will be excited to squee with you that you both have the same fave! If not, maybe not a friend worth having around. I mean, if I made a friend and they out of the blue were like, "You know your fave that you rant about all the time? Well, they've been my fave for the past 2 years." I'd freak out and want to hear the whole history of my friend's journey of being a fan of something! To get someone who would be like, "You're copying me" or "I think you're fake"...it's a bit much to get so upset IMO.

1993 was a great year for music...just not in the Top 20 charts. Indie/Alt music is where it's at. Bjork, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Tupac, PJ Harvey, Massive Attack, all the trip hop stuff is getting started!

God, I remember how much little me hated that Meat Loaf song because it felt like it was EVERYWHERE. And then my dad already listened to a lot of his albums, double exposure!

Having said that, as is the way with these things, I started to appreciate some of my dad's music as I got older, including some Meat Loaf tracks. But never the song in this secret. That song can still fuck off.

Never heard of this game before but Demons Roots, like Demon's Souls, just doesn't roll off the tongue for me. 'Demon's Root' or 'Demon Roots', sure, but that double 's' stresses me out.
