It's 1:30am here in the UK. I'm literally here because my sleep schedule has been crap for over a decade.

Ireally want to get a tattoo, and I have some ideas, but I just want to avoid accidentally getting a bad one. By bad, I mean, neo-n*zi. I know what the common Neo Nazi symbols are, obviously the Swastika, and the Deaths Head, SS the 88s and HHs, and of course the crow foot rune, and I guess the artists probably know more. I just don't want to walk into a parlor and accidentally ask for one of the more obscure ones and have the artist be judging me and throwing me out. F!S, what are the tats I need to avoid? Someone help me, or I'll just end up with a Kermit the Frog tattoo. Not that I don't also want a Kermit tattoo, but I want something more traditional too.

Do you have design you want in mind? I think you can always look it up it's meaning

There's always the heart with someone you love's name in it? Crossed daggers with roses? Anchors and swallows? Animals you think are cute/badass? Plants you think are pretty or cool? Stars, planets, comets, constellations? Fictional characters you love? Pet portraits? Sports paraphernalia or team logos? Quotes you find inspirational? Look up (your hobby) tattoo designs?

If there are multiple tattoo parlors you can check out, walk in and flip through their portfolios/check out the art on the walls/the ink on the tattoo artists themselves?

If you don't see any obvious nazi/neo nazi bullshit, that's a good sign. If you see, idk, someone sporting "nazi punks fuck off," you can probably just ask the tattoo artists for ideas and what kind of work they're best at and love to do, and think it over for a while.

What does "traditional" mean, though? That's so broad a category, depending on culture, region, etc. It seems to me that you could narrow it down a lot more, then just Google to see if a [insert design here] is a possible Nazi/white supremacist symbol and eliminate any dodgy ones that way.

As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that secrets with lots of text are sometimes difficult to accommodate and I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

I don't understand The Bedsitting Room, but I do kinda get The Bedsitting Room. Same with The Cement Garden. Sometimes the bleakness and absurdity is the point.

Nobody who went to a fee paying school, or an Oxbridge college, ought to be allowed to be an actor these days. Especially not Eton or Dragon School. Get the posh twats out of my media if they aren't going to have a sense of shame over it.
