Since my first response to this was BA-leeted, I'll try and be slightly less angry: You are allowed to think whatever you want about people depicting things you are morally opposed to, but unless they are obscene (not one iota of artistic merit whatsoever) there is NO LAW stating that what anyone does here is illegal. I'm sorry if you're not comfortable with some pairings on the internet, but the fans that write honestly top-grade stories about these pairings, and the talented arists who depict these things with their drawings, do not deserve the slander they're recieving just so that you can feel better at night. The beautiful thing about fandom is that it's a place for intellectual discourse. I'm not talking about badfic porn, I'm talking about the stuff that really strikes a chord. It shouldn't matter if it's two sixteen year olds or two twenty year olds, because it's art.

My favorite slash pairing wouldn't have met if it hadn't been for a girl. True, she died, but she was still The Love of one of the guys' Lives. If she hadn't existed I would have nothing to slash either, but I don't quite see why the fact that they have a woman to thank for allowing them to meet in the first place instead of another guys means YOU MUST NOT SLASH THESE GUYS. Maybe I need to know the fandom better? As things stand, I simply don't quite understand how that follows.

The sad fact of the matter is that Six Apart are running a business here and have a perfect right to decide what they do and don't want to allow people to host on their servers. Really, you think their stories are unoriginal? I dunno... I kinda always thought CLAMP had some pretty cool and unique stories to tell, with even better characters to tell them with.

Though I agree a lot of the characters eventually fall into the cliché rut, which in turn makes the story falter.

7. I agree with everything you're saying, but it doesn't really change the facts of the matter. Six Apart aren't trying to police the Internet. They're trying to run a business. That being the case, it's really up to them what they do and don't allow their users to post using their service - and, sad though it is to admit it, it's much safer to piss off fangirls who'll simply go post elsewhere than to run the risk of being seen as a safe haven for child molestors. Like it or not, a significant proportion of their userbase are minors. Just as they have the right to run their business however they want, you have the right to give your custom to whoever you want. Don't like Livejournal? Take your business elsewhere.

7. While I don't like shota/loli/chan/whatever, but as other commenters have pointed out, people aren't necessarily what they write. I do think writers of that kind of thing ought not to post their stuff too publicly, though, since that's just flashing a neon sign saying DELETION FODDER if you ask me.

7. Art =/= reality. Fictional child =/= real child. Fictional child =/= real teenager. Fictional teenager =/= real teenager. Fictional child =/= fictional teenager.

The pieces of art involved were absolutely not my thing at all and squicked me horribly and I would have happily gone through life without ever having seen them, but they were not child porn, even if you use the damn term as an umbrella to cover fictional children who can't actually be hurt--because no fictional children were involved. Fictional minors, yes, but no prepubescent kids, and therefore it is not child porn.
