Well, come on. It's okay to say that a character who raped someone is a rapist. It's true and all. If what you mean is that we shouldn't let the rapes stand in the way of loving the fuck out of these awesome characters, then YES. Agreed. Fans ignore that male characters are rapists all the fucking time, so why not now?

But, as others have said, Lucretia is a rapist. She was also one of my favorite characters (and wasn't that a struggle, reconciling those two facts). Just because she was an interesting character doesn't change the fact that what she did to Crixus was rape. He couldn't say no- he wasn't allowed to say no. Just because what was going on wasn't forceful doesn't mean it wasn't rape. Just because he may have enjoyed certain benefits of it doesn't mean it wasn't rape.

Gods, you're stupid. What Lucretia did to Crixus was rape, and than anon, makes her A RAPIST. She may have other intriguing qualities that make her a compelling and multifaceted character, but she's a rapist, and to whitewash or retcon that simple fact is to show the world how hurr-durr you truly are.

The only reason anybody is dumb enough to think anything otherwise is because Lucretia talked about ~feelings, a future and children. What she did to Crixus was the EXACT SAME CREEPY THING that Ashur did to her. Ashur may have used a little more physical force, but he fed her the exact same rapey mindfuck that she fed to Crixus.

Forced or coerced consent is still rape buddy. Even when a lady is doing it; even when the one being rape isn't screaming or fighting it. Even if he might physically enjoy it. Regina took Graham's ability to consent away when she took his heart out of his chest. I'm not saying he wouldn't have sex with her if he did have his heart, though that is in itself unlikely given the context, but afterwards? Even if he refused, she can make him change his mind. Since his mind isn't his own, he can't have consented making it rape.
