Weekend Plans

My nephew's second birthday party is this Sunday! I can't wait to eat some birthday cake and watch him not want to open presents. And it is supposed to storm all day tomorrow and Monday, so we are hoping that Sunday is clear (forecast says yes but you know how that goes).

Other than the party, I'll just be doing normal chores. I wanted to see Mad Max, but it looks like I'll have to wait until next weekend.

I'm disappointed because I think only about 16% of Bostonians supported the death penalty.

The father of the 8 year old child who was killed in the attack in particular pleaded for it not to be imposed so that his family wouldn't be dragged through years of appeals.

Given the state of the American prison system, though, it might be the less cruel punishment.

My most recent one was in Daredevil where Anatoly and Vladmir had just been tortured. I wasn't really shipping them beforehand, but somehow the pair of them shirtless, covered in blood/gashes and laying a comforting hand on each other's chests was just too much.

Trying to find a specific comic strip on sleep, death, and aliens

It was posted in a discussion on transporters, either on i09/gizmodo/kotaku or on tor.com and basic gist of it was that some aliens were telling a human that advanced spacefaring civilizations work to cure the need to sleep as their first achievement because it was scientifically proven that every time you went to sleep you actually died and when you woke up it was a brand new person taking up the reins of the old life. The strip ended with the human sat upright in bed clutching coffee cups in both hands and staring manically at the reader.

Can anyone help me find this, because my google-fu has been weak. Please, and thanks.

So I recently discovered that, apparently, the normal thing when people have threesomes is for it to be about two of the participants servicing the third participant. So, for example, an MFM threesome is the two men servicing the woman, and the men aren't supposed to have any sexual contact between themselves. And if the men DO have sexual contact between themselves, then it's a betrayal of the woman's trust, or something of that nature. Same for FMF: if the two women have sexual contact, it's a betrayal of the man's trust.

This is bizarre to me. I always thought a threesome was about, you know, three people having sex together, not two people having sex with one person. I mean, I can GET that sometimes it's two people having sex with one person, like when everyone involved is straight so two of the participants don't really have any desire to do anything with each other, but I don't understand this idea that two of the people involved just aren't supposed to touch each other at all. Ever.

Am I crazy? Did anyone else think what I thought?
