More stuff adapted from stuff you (Noodly) liked as a kid! And maybe you like it now! Or hate it!

More emphasis on the love this time. For all that it was a formulaic lcd show, I watched me some scooby doo. And this movie did it right! The first one, with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Matthew Lillard. SCOOBY DOO!


Then... This is the single greatest fuckup of an adaptation I have ever seen. Worse then Inspector Gadget. Worse then Chipmunks. Worse then fucking THE LAST AIRBENDER. JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS.

A good movie after to wash that crap down! The Wachoski Sisters never got that DBZ project they wanted, but they did get this other anime, and made one of the most underappreciated adaptations ever! Speed Racer!

Hey green thumbs, what's going on in your patch?

I bought two tomato varieties (a yellow medium flesh and a pink firm flesh) and they're currently at my mom's place until it gets warm enough at night to put them out.

I also just finished digging out the majority of the invasive plants in the front. I had to dig a foot and a half down and pick through the soil to make sure I got all the roots. Took a fucking entire week.

Also I have wisteria! It's variegated dark/light purple and it's amazing.

Next I'm going to tackle the awful fennel plant in the front and the runaway seed grass so I can plant something nicer.

Alone in the house for the day. What to do?

My husband just left after an argument after an attempt at sex.

He has a health condition that effects his ability to get an erection sometimes. We were getting into it, and then he suddenly lost sensitivity. I won't lie, I was disappointed. He told me it wasn't about me and I believed him. We talked about how it was about his health, and I said his health was often a factor lately, and he said how it was forever gonna be a thing. He asked if I wanted my vibrator. I said I didn't, and I told him there are other ways to have sex, and he said, "but you've said you prefer penetration," and I said, "but we can do other things, since that isn't gonna be a thing anymore."

I know I fucked up with that. I shouldn't have said, "anymore." I should have said, "sometimes."

Anyway it crushed him. So completely that we couldn't really talk afterwards. Like, he said, "I told you six years ago that I had limited sexuality" and in the moment I was like, "six years ago I didn't have a sex drive," and he considered that irrelevant. Now that I'm thinking back though, I can't remember him ever telling me that there was a limited time frame for him being able to have sex. He told me there was a limited time frame for him being FERTILE, which is totally different. And anyway, if you're in a SEXLESS FUCKING RELATIONSHIP things are gonna be different. Oh and he was very unhappy with not having sex during that time, for the record.

So I told him I didn't blame him, I tried to talk about how things were different six years ago, and how we could have sex other ways. He was freaking out. He wound up going off for a drive.

I feel awful and I don't know what to do.

And I feel even more awful for thinking, "he got me all worked up and then left the second his dick wouldn't work." BUT THAT'S HOW I FUCKING FEEL. This happens SO FUCKING MUCH. I think we're gonna have sex and I get turned on AND THEN NOTHING HAPPENS. He's flaccid so oh hey it's over and I need to get myself off. Nevermind that the main reason I like sex is because it brings me closer to him and I feel most in love with him when we're having it. Naaaaah I'm just horny, that's all.

I told him to go, too, because he couldn't calm down. But I'm still like "fuck."

And I don't even wanna... I don't want to initiate anymore. I don't want to even talk about the fact that I'm horny. If I hug or kiss him with any passion, he thinks I want sex (I usually do, but hey, I can do those things without them leading to sex), so I guess I can't do those things, either. I guess I should just shut everything down and wait for him to be good.

I need a new show to watch and I saw this Shadowhunters that all the kids were talking about.

But upon watching the opening credits, I realized it is based on the Mortal Instruments series. I HATED those books.

How like the books is the show? Is there a CW teen drama vibe, a ABC fantasy show vibe, or a supernatural show with a shit ton of romance vibe?
