We start with a build up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the war itself. See Principal George Feeney John Adams argue with fellow members of congress as he practically carves out the words LIBERTY OR DIE on his chest. See Ben Franklin dish out shade to every living being around him. See Thomas Jefferson be hot.

It's 1776!


After that, we go into the war itself! There's camaraderie, romance, ambition, betrayal! The war ends, and it's back into the rap battle halls of congress! Annoying things

I know it's not really devstating or anything, but my DVR died and I lost all the shows I'd recorded. I can remember most of them so I can find them online, but I have a feeling I'm forgetting a couple and it's getting on my nerves.

But the thing that really annoys me is I had like a ton of series set to record, and there's no way I'm going to remember all of them, especially when most of them are on hiatus right now.

Anyone else annoyed about something right now?

I hadn't read it in years, but I skimmed over it again (which was a lot of fun, even though it's not very well written at all) so if you're still hanging around today, I believe it fits your request perfectly.

I read a fic involving time travel which made me realize I'm attracted to the idea of my SO when he was younger. Like, a teenager. I'm wildly attracted to him now. I think I'll still be attracted to him when he's old and wrinkly, which falls in with the whole being engaged thing. I was a late bloomer, so to speak, and I was hardly attracted to other teens when I was a teen. But if there would be no negative repercussions from the time travel and the sudden sexual relationship with someone twice his age etc., I'd totally have sex with my SO when he was younger. And I don't know how I feel about that.

Write out a poem you have memorized

A game inspired by the thread above! Write out a poem you have memorized (or once had memorized) and see if you can remember the whole thing. Then, you or another commenter can check to see if you did it right.

If you can't remember the whole thing, write as much of it as you can remember and check how successful you were.

Obviously this is on the honor system, since there's nothing stopping you from cheating and copying the poem, but consider that there just no fun or advantage in cheating in a contest like this.

I actually suggested 2 books for August. A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood and Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood, but Alias Grace is not on the list. Unless we're limited to 1 rec per peron. In that case, never mind.
