EDIT: to rephrase the question a little more seriously: how is Pokemon Go supposed to be fun? I've played it for awhile and I find it pretty boring, but I don't know if that's because (1) I'm playing it wrong, (2) I haven't gotten to the fun part yet, or (3)it's just not my kind of game.
