It was terrible, but still oddly drinkable, and definitely not the worst thing I've tried in the last week (that honour goes to a porter from Belgium that tasted like smoke and gastric juices; sorry Belgium, it's not your fault).

Some beer that says it was formulated especially for Halloween. Tastes like a fairly decent dark ale, but I'm not sure it was worth the extra £ for the fancy Halloween label.

Halloween stories, and why to avoid them

I read a halloween story about a guy who liked to climb in open windows and hide under people's beds. I have realised that I did not shut my bedroom window before leaving home this morning. Sure, it only opens a crack, but... Inspiration, plus active imagination, plus generalised anxiety as a character trait, does not equal a happy bunny.

The past couple weeks have been so insanely stressful and shitty and I really need to go grocery shopping because I'm out of food (as well as a few essential non-food things), but I have all this anxiety and it's making me not even want to leave the house. If I don't go tonight I'll have to go tomorrow, and will continue to have anxiety about it until I actually do it, so I probably should go tonight, but it always makes me nervous going this late, and just...blah.

Anyone else need to complain/rant/vent about something?

Very loosely inspired by #10 as I have just gotten weary of the moral outrage, so I'd rather have fun with it. You have to pick one trope that's no longer allowed to be used in fanfic or art, what gets the axe and why? A/b/o? Mpreg? Coffee shop AUs? Referring to characters by eyecolor? Readerfic?
