I'm going to make some ravioli either today or tomorrow, filled with Italian sausage and escarole and stuff. Should be pretty good. Got the stuff at the farmer's market this morning. The recipe I'm using for the filling is actually meant for a savory pie, but I figure it'll adapt pretty well to ravioli, and I'm much more familiar with making pasta dough than pastry, so it's both easier and safer.

Getting in the mood for Christmas cake already. Thinking about making a practice one to get me back into the swing of things...and also so I can eat it.

Last night I made some Quorn nuggets that basically were indistinguishable from really cheap chicken nuggets. I had leftovers so I made them into a warm coleslaw salad with lightly charred savoy cabbage. It was very nice!

I have leftover baked potatoes in the fridge waiting for me to use them for dinners for the next week. I'm pretty sure I'll put them together with the mushroom and red/green bell peppers to make something interesting. Maybe I'll toss in a can of pinto beans and see where that takes me. Idk this is how I do all my cooking.

Festival of Remembrance

It is only 19 minutes into this year's Festival of Remembrance and worryingly it seems far more celebratory of war than remembering the fallen. Maybe it will change to more respectful remembrance as it goes on. I don't think we should be celebrating war, troops, or battles, we should all just stick to remembering the men and women who died in them and the over prideful politicians who sent them all to those deaths.

Dumb thing that annoys you thread

I know most kink memes have a multi-fills allowed and encouraged policy.

I know OPs would probably be thrilled to have more than one fill for their prompts.

But I can't bring myself to keep writing a fill if someone already posted their fill before mine. I feel like the other writer would just feel awkward/embarrassed about me, and I'd just keep comparing my fill vs. their fill.
Also I know it makes me super selfish and self-centered but I like being some prompter's personal hero for filling their prompt.

I'm thinking the Democrats would be wise to try and get Sherrod Brown and Cory Booker to run on a ticket. Brown/Booker would do well. Brown would bring back the white male/Bernie demographic and reassure them they still have a solid place in the party, something Hillary managed to lose, and Booker would bring in the young millennials, SJWs, and Obama fans who have a lot of ethusiasm but not much clue. Together they could form a dream team ticket. I hope the Dem backers are having quiet chats with both in the hope of getting them together.
