Just got back, and I loved it! Though I'll be supremely disappointed if it doesn't spawn KimberlyTrini and JasonZack (or JasonBilly, or JasonBillyZack) fic.

It's astonishing how many people seem to like it.

I'm still not going to see it, bc the idea of spending any time watching anything Power Rangers related fills me with anger, but it's nice that it's a good movie apparently

I'm still in two minds on if I want to go see it, like the original series is not good(it's a cheesy mess and I love it) and I'm just a little worried that maybe the reboot might take itself a little too seriously?

Although if they make that work then frankly I won't mind. Idk, I think the main thing I want to know: is it fun?

I don't really want to watch it because I'm just too fond of the trashy "let's sell these plastic toys" spirit of the original shows (mostly the Japanese ones) but I'm still kind of curious about it...

Oh, we had someone post a suicide note stating they were killing themselves as soon as they hit the post comment button and citing the reasons as privacy concerns over IP logging and that the fun, upbeat, and wanky F!S that was their only reason for living had gone and so they had nothing any longer to live for. Case deleted the thread though to cover it. Really makes you think, all this glurging cannot be good for the comm.

Just saw Beauty and the Beast

And tbh, I'm still not sure if I liked it or not. There were some changes that I thought were good, but the whole movie had this undertone of trying too hard? Like it was trying so hard to fix the issues people had with the original that it never took a moment to figure out WTF its own identity was.

I'm so glad Thrawn finally got to kick ass. The one death was touching but I'm glad my favorites all survived. The Bendu stuff was a little weird. I actually wanted some weird Force shit from him but it was clunky in the episode. Still a little surprised that Kallus has been Fulcrum all this time and we still haven't had a proper talk between him and Zeb.

What did you guys think?

I'm frustrated with video games and bored with everything else so I thought I'd post here. sadly my laptop still broke so I'm having to use the voice type commands on my tablet which means punctuation is going to be very hit and miss, please bear with me

So I watched the Amy schumer special today, anyone heard of the controversy around it? allegedly the reason it only got one star was because of misogyny, and alt right trolls. I watched it today. maybe I am a misogynist, maybe my dislike of her political opinions coloured my view of her jokes, but I just did used to think she was so funny, and this was just sad. you know what it reminded me of? anyone ever watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? you know the episode where Sweet Dee does stand-up comedy? it was like that? very disappointing anyone else see that? any thoughts?

Taking care of sick people (vent I guess)

So my gf has the flu (probably), and I am taking care of her. And... I don't like it. I don't like taking care of sick people. I lived alone for a while and was used to taking care of myself while sick, and even when I was a teen living at home I did that cause my mom worked a lot. So the whole "taking care of someone" idea is a little weird to me, but I'm doing it, and I am not complaining to my gf or anything like that (I feel like I have a fine bedside manner) but... I really don't like it. Its tiring and frustrating. But at the same time I feel super guilty for feeling that way. I am unemployed atm (hopefully that will be ending soon, I have some interviews lined up and I fill out job applications every day) so its not like I have anything better to do, but I just... don't like this. I find myself getting annoyed, and i would never express that to my gf but... yeah I feel bad about it.

I realize this probably makes me sound like a bad person. Its just been two days and I'm exhausted. Anyway.

How do you guys feel about taking care of sick people F!S? Good at it, bad at it?
