I've always wanted a tattoo and I've been seriously considering it lately. But I'm a wimp when it comes to pain. I really want to do it though, because it would be good to to step out of my comfort zone and I feel like it would be a huge confidence boost. I'm doing research and would like to hear your stories.

Are there any characters who just don't seem like their given age to you? Like, is there a character who looks and acts super mature but is supposed to be only 19? Or a character who looks really young and acts immature but is supposedly 38? Are there any particular cases that really bother you?

Any decent April fools stuff?

I bought my girlfriend Mass Effect Andromeda. Put the disc from Mass effect 3 in. Presented it to her.

She didn't notice. Puts it in. Still doesn't notice when it starts the install for ME3. Still doesn't notice 3 and a half hours later when it finishes installing. Wonders why Shepherd is on the screen. Wonders why I have pissed myself. Waits another hour for the real thing to install. I am a Wildman.

Now why don't some nice anonymous folks tell me that I'm abusive and my girlfriend should leave me for her own safety?

Tomorrow is world Autism Awareness day and you are going to see a ton of blue puzzle pieces and blue lights. As an autistic person, I'm here to warn you that Autism Speaks is not as good as they claim they are. People dismiss me because "well it did good for ME!" without bothering to look into why I say it's bad.

Saying Autism Speaks is good because it helped you or helps people is like saying some random guy who serves food in a soup kitchen is a good person even though he beats his spouse and neglects his children.

Autism Speaks has a history of ignoring, dismissing and silencing autistic people while using the most dehumanizing, fear-mongering rhetoric to paint autistic people as if we're diseased burdens. They don't have any autistic people in any significant leadership positions, yet they want to speak for us? That's messed up.

If that isn't bad enough, barely any of the money donated to them goes to help autistic people. It's all marketing, research and salaries. I won't go into the cure and prevention stuff because that's a big can of worms that causes too many debates and leads to derailment. Let's just say Autism Speaks wants to destroy autism by preventing autistic people and that is where most of their research is going.

Autism Speaks has zero representation of the community they stand for, yet thinks it can speak for us. Would you support a trans rights group run by cis people? Would you support a religious rights group run by atheists? Would you support a POC rights group run by white people?

Please don't light it up blue. Go red instead for autism acceptance.

The apple saga continues!

So I've been trying the varieties you all had mentioned, or at least the ones I can find here, and so far nothing has really grabbed me as super delicious. More just meh, they're apples and tasty enough. But today I found a market that has a "support your local farm" section, and I bought some Rome apples from there. And I gotta say, they're pretty great! I don't know if it's the 'local' part so they haven't traveled forever before getting to me, or if Rome apples are just pretty great in general, but I'm happy with my discovery either way.

ReBoot reboot?

Or, I guess more importantly, actually remember ReBoot? I am really confused about what they're trying to do here. They're making the Users the Guardians, and protecting the world by battling cyberspace, rather than the world being the inside of the computer. It all seems off. Why even bother tying it to ReBoot? Why not just make a new show and go with it? It's more a shitty Power Rangers type than anything.

And I got so excited about a new ReBoot at first too. What a disappointment.
