Movie Club Nominations!

It is time for Movie Club nominations!

Theme: For the first half of November, we will be doing using the random game cards. Your movie must have TWO of the four cards. Here they are:
-Props: A pipe, a wrench, or a candlestick
-Characters: Gunslingers, Gang Members, or Gangsters
-Production: Title is one word long
-Theme & Genre: Road Trip

Rules (subject to change):
-One nomination per person.
-Must be streaming on Netflix, Amazon, or Hulu. Check JustWatch to see if your nomination is streaming.
-First 15 nominations will be chosen for voting.

Nominations will be open Monday-Wednesday. Voting will be on Thursday-Friday. The winner will be announced officially on Monday*. We will discuss the movie November 11th-12th.

*I will close the poll on Friday (or early Saturday) so you can check the results if you want to see the winner before Monday.

Ack, this was a really hard one. Mostly because I generally hate gangster movies and road trip comedies, which removes a lot of possibilities.

Does A New Hope count? Han would be a gunslinger, and they are traveling. And if not, what about Spaceballs?

The prop doesn't have to be a HUGE plot point (ex. The Holy Grail in Indiana Jones).

Feel free to be interpretive as well! Pipe could mean smoking pipe. Things like that.

For the one word title, don't include 'The' or 'A' if the movie title has it. So The Wailing would be fine.

The Magnificent 7 on amazon. The new one. All the characters are gunslingers. One of the characters smokes a pipe. It could also sort of be a road trip (when they are looking for thier team).

I am nominating Clue which is on Hulu. I think it contains all of the props and the title is one word.

whhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyy isn't The Killer on Netflix anymore so I can argue that it should count as a one-word title because "The" is an article

I refuse to nominate anything in protest for streaming services not having any of the movies that I want to nominate

Four cards is too many IMO, if we pick any two the movie genres are so wildly different it ends up the same as no theme.

But I could just as easily have nominated Paul (2011).
