120. The whole point of the "believe in me who believes in you" line was that Simon wasn't strong enough -- that he needed a crutch for a while. Then he grew up and grew out of it and did stand on his own two feet. But for the beginning of the show, he needed someone to believe in him, to prove to him that he was worth something. But lol, the show was pretty over-the-top and ridiculous. And it honestly only got more insane as it went on, so if you didn't like the first episode, you def wouldn't have liked the rest. *shrugs* different tastes and all.

141. I can tell you for a fact and from experience (thankfully not my own, but it's still painful to watch) that a lot of fandom cannot.

105 Everything is coming together, and you're a total idiot if you think the characters were "ruined". Just because they aren't 2-dimensional like most television shows and they have different sets of morals that clash with one another doesn't mean the show is "spiralling out of control". I'm sorry.

120. I'm sure people have already torn this secret apart, but I'm commenting on it anyway. Just because you need others to help you get through situations doesn't mean that you're using them as a crutch or that you won't have the capacity to become stronger on your own. Simon grows a lot through the course of the series and the characters around him help, but it's because of his own decisions that make him who he is in the end. In short, you've only seen one episode and I think you should watch a few more before you decide you hate it. At least then you'll have a better argument, yeah? And I agree with you that some of the fans take their love of the show to extremes, but it's usually all in good fun.

114: I don't know, isn't it a rather common theme? I've always found several, at least in the bigger fandoms I've been in.

116: Nope, I stay away from ffn. It takes so much work to find the good stuff, and I don't have time to waste on wading through page after page of badfic. Also, the attitude of a lot of the writers is just... ugh.

Gotta admit, I agree with this, despite the fact that I'm even guilty of shipping myself. Thing is, I'm not shipping EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, and most certainly not on the basis of "LOL OMG SO HAWT 2GETHR!!1" (and certainly I see no appeal in the buttsex that runs rampant in nearly every fandom, either.) ...Basically, it bothers me that, like... 90% of the fics in any given fandom are "THIS CHARACTER BANGS THIS CHARACTER HEHE" when sometimes, I would really just like to read about character friendships from time to time. :/
