Idiot. People don't compare their religious ideals, they compare the way both of them tried to rule the world through death and fear. They both killed people in order to create their own idea of a utopia so that they could rule over it as gods.

Declan Dunn is a paternalising asshat who thinks he knows what's best for everyone and coats it in smarmy nicey-niceness. The way he treats Rae Dawn Chong's character makes my TEETH ITCH.

We (me and some other Pasdarfen) downloaded Mysterious Ways off the Internet and tried to watch it at my house. It was harder to watch than the movie where he played the rapist (we just laughed at that--Adrian can't convince anyone he's a rapist except the people who mix up Jim Profit and Lucius Malfoy). By the time he was telling the girl who gave people luck when they touched her that she didn't have any friends because she didn't appreciate the people who wanted to help her we were ready to boil him alive. She didn't have anyone who wanted to help her, just a lot of people who wanted to help themselves TO her, including him--the only difference was that instead of trying to grab a quick handful of her he wanted to study her like a bug under a microscope.

DO NOT WANT.

At least when Jim Profit fucks you over the back of a desk he doesn't expect you to appreciate his "help".

153. Oh good god. Not only do I DESPISE TILA but that show drives me insane. I'm not even kidding you, I watch those shows sometimes because they make me feel better about myself. Because I'll never be as stupid or obnoxious as most the people they cast on those shows. (In all honesty, some of them are okay though, like the guy on the top left and the blonde girl who dumped Tila's disgusting ass, usually the quiet ones, or the ones who don't make it as far.) The guy on the top right and bottom right particularly sicken me with their antics. I would seriously sterilize myself before I let anyone like that associate themselves with me.

158. That would annoy me too, as I adore Greek Mythology. <3 I think it's one of the literary pinnacles of human history, honestly. (Despite all the craziness with Zeus womanizing and the barbaric levels of violence, it's just extremely telling, and I think people in that time period were more self aware than they are today.)

A straight comparison is definitely wrong. However, I can see where people might find certain similarities - specifically, in the fact that Light, too, felt that he had the right to define who was "good" and who was "bad" and who had the right to live in his perfect world, and utilized the means at hand to get rid of those he deemed unworthy.
But it's a very small similarity, and in general, I would say that claiming Light to be, maybe, "inspired" by Hitler is one thing, but it shouldn't go much further than that.
And saying Light is just like Hitler sort of makes Hitler seem less horrible, therefore I'm very much against it.
