The only things I've watched set in the real world are travel shows on PBS. Everything else is just too much right now.

Cooking competitions for me-- the friendly ones. There's a channel that seems to have rerun the latest season Top Chef Junior three times in a row. I watch every episode every time.

My particular favourite is Paul O'Grady for the Love of Dogs - otherwise the only other two reality shows I watch are pretty light-hearted and with my parents; Bargin Hunt and Great British Bake Off (also GBBO Stand Up to Cancer, but they do involve cancer stories since its a charity event; but seeing celebrities lose it over baking disasters is the best part).

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for the ExR translation because it's a lot of work. But I'm really, really hoping the published version has a better quality translation.

This always makes me rolling eyes. Like, yes, the translation wasn't very elegant or great, especially not the way the main translator behaved liked she was this amazing translator who just couldn't bear to see others touch "her" novel(this, btw is why so many hate on the translation imo). But if you really thought it was an "unreadable mess" I question your reading skills/comprehension. (Also, you clearly haven't read any of the actually bad webnovel TLs...)

Was it an amazing TL? No. Would I want the actual paid TL to be like that one? No. Was it as bad as you and a lot of others pretend? Also, no.

I don't know if this is what you mean but it's kinda strange to me when fans are super protective over a free fan translation of a work and think if you provide corrections or dare to criticize it, you're a bad person.

I don't think formatting is necessarily harder on AO3. It's more convenient for editing and doesn't randomly eat characters from stories I posted 10 years ago.

I can see how it's easier to search for things though, since at least tags are limited and things like crossovers are separate from the main fandoms.

Filtering and tagging are way better on AO3? pretty sure that's why people prefer it

Media You Found Through Fandomsecrets

I've been here about ten years, and I've been introduced to some pretty cool media through the secrets.

I watched Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 because someone posted a pretty intense secret about the dog spoiler thing and it peaked my interest. It's still one of my favorite shows! I also got really into Yume Nikki and Lobotomy Corporation because of secrets. I don't think I would ever come across those games otherwise.
