Oof, same. I'm against AI in many ways, I know the harms it makes to other artists like me and I detest its uses in monetized works... but... I enjoy role-playing with it. Not that's good or better than a actual partner, it's just fun ocasionally.

There's is a difference between personal casual fun with it and how companies use it, but it doesn't erase that many are run with stolen work and content. idk.

In general, I'm not against using AI for fun. My issue to try to use it as a shortcut to create something to sell something or to try to use it as a way to replace real human work that is actually needed.
It's a tool to be used not a replacement for actual human work.

marrying a dead spouse's sibling is pretty damn commonplace, if the last 10,000 years of human history is anything to go by. looking some level alike to the dead sibling isn't unheard of in fiction, it's a pretty basic trope for ~dramaaaa~. doubly so in Japanese fiction, traditional folklore is rife with it as it was, historically, almost expected that a proper member of a higher class take in their dead spouse's family.

Sex and the City can somehow pull strong emotions out of people XD

I didn't cry at that scene, which surprises me a bit because I love Sarah Jessica Parker's acting.

However, my friends and I used to joke that one of our friends was a robot because she didn't express emotions often. We watched the first Sex and the City movie in theaters and she cried when Carrie smacked Big with the bouquet. My friends and I were sobbing at that scene, my friend grabbed my arm through her tears, pointed to her face and said, "Even this got to me!"

Mouthwashing fandom is so wild. There's people in there who freak out at people who say that they found Jimmy interesting as a character (which is understandable since you play the majority of the game from his very fucked up and biased perspective), and somehow interpret that as him being not-guilty for the things he did.

I literally only lurk to look through the memes and art - otherwise I'm staying the fuck out from the unnecessary drama that pops up.

Well for what its worth, its not like you're approving of irl peoples suffering. Sometimes fiction can be used to explore fucked up things from creating or just reading it.
Sometimes it can lead to personal reflections or provoking your own opinions since that's also what art can do - but sometimes its not that deep either.

I stopped having any expectations for any cisman (famous or not, good looking or not, rich or poor, straight or not) to not hurt or resent girls/women a long time ago. I don't even know if there was a specific moment in time where I had an "Ah-ha" moment, but it is sad to know that we can't have much high expectations in terms of men's violence toward women.

Every femme fan will have to go through a moment of realization that putting guys on pedestals isn't something worth doing because you just keep setting yourself up for disappointment.

I've avoided talking to a friend about Dave Grohl because it was already a lot to see how upset so many creators on YouTube were disappointed and betrayed to hear about his infidelity. My friend had been a huge fan of The Foo Fighters and she really adored Dave Grohl when we were teenagers.

The Taeil situation is just really sad for the fans. I wasn't surprised, but to hear of the charges were not easy to digest. To know that his public persona was to be the sweet boy next door type is rather unsettling, because you know some fans really want to buy into this fake personality.

Even before the Taeil situation, I'd become wary of Kpop because the industry is just so rampant with controversies. The charges against Taeil coming out while also the media was making tee-hee gossip about Seungri's love life just really made me wish I could throw shit into a car and light it all on fire Angela Basset style.

I think my post is a rambling mess but I just want to say, the entertainment industry is a reflection of our real lives, so we can't simply throw our noses up in the air and say fame and fortune poison our souls. We do not care to protect girls and women and the men who know that take advantage of that knowledge in terrible ways.
