I feel like I'm doing some of my pairings wrong, according to fandom. Recently I watched the new Evangelion movies, and I felt like going back and reading some Shinji/Kaworu fic. I didn't like smut when I first watched Eva, but now I do, and since I like awkward tops, I was hoping there would be some top!Shinji. Not surprisingly, he's on bottom in the one fic I found that made any sort of sexual reference, and in all of the S/K doujinshi out there.

I'm also into Blue Exorcist, and while I don't care too much about pairing, Yukio hits a lot of my kinks for a bottom, and I was hoping that there would be fics where he's getting fucked by a guy. However, all of the slashy Yukio fics and art I've found put him on top, except for one piece of fanart. TBH, I'm kind of shocked, since I thought he was more of a stereotypical bottom, but I guess I'm wrong.

Man, it always sucks going back to fandoms of these older things and barely finding anything. I recently watched Card Captor Sakura and was really hankering for Touya/Yukito and Clow/Yue - found some for the former and just none for the latter and it was like... really, internets? I'm sure I had about the same problem looking for Shinji/Kaworu too about a year or two ago, you'd really think there'd be more...

I'm really into Haruhi Suzumiya, and there's quite a lot of doujinshi out there, but I think I've seen maybe two ever where Koizumi is the uke? I mean, I know fandom generally has him pinned as Mr Badtouch and I can understand how and why that would happen, but I figure if he was actually in that sort of a situation with somebody, he'd be quite... maybe not explicitly submissive, but at least very deferent and conscientious, you know?

Though I just want all the fic/art/anything of Haruhi domming the hell out of him and this basically doesn't exist on the internet so OH WELL

I used to have the same problem. But then I stopped caring and told myself I'd sleep with whoever I was interested in (well, you know, who wanted to sleep with me as well obviously). And mostly I was attracted to girls, but I did meet a guy who I was attracted to. Just wait it out and see.

Why? Because he's freaking adorable. Saw him at SDCC last year during his panel with Whedon, and while I wanted to punch Whedon in the face, I just wanted to hug JJ the whole time. He seems like a genuinely dorky and nice guy.

I didn't get through it once. I fell asleep a bit after they meet Justin Timberlake in a club and you can't hear a fucking word they're saying for 10 minutes. And I still hate everything about this movie and refuse to rewatch it because of how everyone humped the shit of this movie and Mark Zuckerburg.

I think the Puck/Rachel part of the "Glee" fandom is, for the most part, absolutely batshit insane. The "main bubble" is a bunch of self-possessed, egotistical fanbrats with a massive hard-on for Puck and a creepy desire to insert themselves into Rachel's place, and their "brilliant fic" is mediocre, at best. The amount of hate I've seen from them for pairings and characters that get in the way of their OTP - not to mention the "Lark" RPF they insist is real - is worse than any other fandom I've been in, and that's not even getting into the way they treat the people who dare to disagree with them. I liked Puck and Rachel together, but they had their run and these lunatics who ship them hardcore have become a large part of the reason I'm ashamed to admit to being a fan of the show.


(For the record, this isn't coming from a "bitter Finn/Rachel shipper." Puck/Rachel was my OTP for a long time, but these people are ruining it for me. :/)

I love the Portal fandom, but I hhhhate the love affair it seems to have with rape-as-romance. For every awesome fic, there's five where Wheatley gets his rape on but it's okay in the end because he's cute and makes Chell come-- or even worse, it isn't even recognised as rape, by the characters, authors, or readers. :\
