This is why I like my boob size. Large enough to look feminine, small enough to look classy in ANYTHING! \o/

Story of my life! :( I wish real clothes could stretch and contour ridiculously the way animated shirts always do. (They also never need to be washed!)

I'm really blessed with good proportions, NGL. I have large breasts, but I'm tall and shapely so it works.

One of my friends is super short and has very little shape, and her breasts, which are huge, just look misplaced. She ends up looking slutty in anything she wears because of it. =/

I get bitter for all of those reasons, because they're related. If having a large chest and having the gall to display it didn't automatically make me a 'slut', I wouldn't have to edit my wardrobe in the pursuit of respect.

I absolutely love this little red dress, but I just can't wear it anywhere because holy shit cleavage. and most of my button-up shirts have a safety pin attached in the middle because I will pop a button, but if I got a bigger size it would hang funny off my shoulders. Sometimes I just stop giving a shit and wear a camisole. Behold my titties! sluts, ahoy!
but for like job interviews its really frustrating. I have one single dress I can wear that looks classy on me.

I also cannot find a button-up shirt that can fit me TO SAVE MY LIFE.
As you can imagine, it's pretty annoying given that I have a job where I have to dress professionally every day, and blouses and dress shirts DO NOT FIT ME.

I'm satisfied with my cup size, I'm not satisfied with shitty clothing designers that can't figure out how to make clothes (I can't find dresses that fit either) for busty women. My body is not the problem and frankly I resent the fact that I should feel ashamed every time I go clothes shopping.

I hate clothes shopping. My breasts range from D to DD depending on the time of the month. It is super hard to find things that fit when I'm larger but don't look like sacks when I'm smaller. And everything even slightly low cut or tight makes me uncomfortable because of the way it looks.

The worst are pants, though. They are all cut for women with a certain shape. They are all either too loose at the waist or too tight at the hips. I end up having to have all my slacks tailored and wear a belt with everything else.

I have kind of the opposite problem :P It's hard finding nice shirts/dresses that look good on a short, flat chested person like me. You'd really think there'd be more variation in clothes proportions available.

[identity profile] sarolynne.livejournal.com 2012-05-03 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
I absolutely hate the fact that society views women with large breasts "slutty" or "vulgar" for wearing clothes no tighter or more revealing than flatter women wear. What, there's more of a crease instead of just seeing an acre of collarbone and sternum? Seriously, as a culture, we need to learn that accepting different body types does involve not judging someone trashy for something entirely out of her control.

Women have breasts. These come in different sizes. Some will be larger. Can we all just be adults and fucking accept that without judging?

i get you OP, I've no idea what I can and cannot wear without looking too slutty. I'm jealous that anime characters can wear whatever they want :[
(and guys and girls both think I'm slutty no matter what I wear and I'm not. i'M shy and a virgin)

And if it's a hot day and everyone else gets to wear singlets? I'm out of luck. If anyone has any advice on what to wear I'd love to hear. They're not big enough to get breast reduction suergery (no back pains), but big enough I feel humilated when I'm trying on different clothes and everything looks ridiculous on me...and things made for big busts show it off so much that people will comment on my boobs regardless.

wow tl;dr. sorry, guess I had a lot of feelings OP.

Just thinking about it made me sad.

I love my child-bearing hips and large breasts, but I do feel sad every time I find cute short skirts of nice shirts that make me look like I'm about to star in a porno. :(

Oh man, you just made me realize I feel bitter about the exact same thing. XD

[identity profile] sergeanthowarth.livejournal.com 2012-05-03 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, a thread where we can complain about how clothes fit! I don't have that big of breasts; they're 34B, but I'm a tiny little thing at 5'3" and 100 pounds, and my shoulders, while again not objectively being that big, are very large on my frame. So basically I have two choices; I can either shop in the girl's section and hope I find something that doesn't look like it's for 10-year-olds and that has enough shoulder room, or I can shop in the women's section and an adult small will easily fit over my shoulders and chest but be baggy everywhere else. Once I bought a nice button-up shirt and then tailored it myself to fit the contours of my body, and it actually looks really look on me, but I don't have the patience or skill to do this for everything.

[identity profile] fuchsiascreams.livejournal.com 2012-05-03 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Oh my God, I completely fucking know how you feel. I love wearing tanktops, but I avoid it because it's impossible for me NOT to have huge amounts of cleavage while wearing them, and I've been picked on/called a whore in the past for wearing them, so I'd rather avoid it. Just a couple of months ago, a guy online told me that if I got raped while wearing something low-cut, it would be my own fault because my breasts are so large, and I should be hiding them instead of putting out there to tempt men.

I could give a crap about "looking slutty." I just want to find a button-down shirt that closes in front without popping buttons, and without having the armholes cut so low at the bottom that I can't raise my arms above a 45 degree angle. (Why do plus size designers think my armpits need four extra inches of room?)

If it could also be opaque and not cut to show my bra strap in three places, that would be a bonus. :/

(Anonymous) 2012-05-03 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
I am learning so much about bras from this thread!

I always wore a 36B cause I figured small chest = small cup. but my bras have weird gaps.

I'm 5'10", 118 lbs. from what I'm reading here ... maybe I should actually be a 34c or 32d? would appreciate input from any of the bra experts in this thread lol :( this is embarrasing

Learning so much about bras in this thread, so pleased!

I reccomend anyone who hasn't get fitted. I was walking around in illfitting bras for the longest times until I got fitted in a proper bra store (and not helped by an old lady at target or kmart). It made a difference! Although I still don't have a sports bra :[

I'm pretty sure I've got my size right, but I'll be doubly careful when I go buy new ones. IDK what it is in american, but I'm a 14D/sometimes 12F here and the way people comment on my breasts makes me very uncomfortable. Even if it's positive comments :/ And it doesn't matter what I wear, people are going to comment on them. Even strangers (urgh teen boys) and coworkers. Do people not realise how inappropriate that is?! But if I 'hide' them the tent shirts make me look fat and I feel even more sad :[
