Fandom taught me that I was bisexual, but I would put my sexuality as 95% in favour of men (I'm female). However, I'm in a long term relationship with a woman whom I love. I wouldn't judge you and I know a lot of people in fandom wouldn't either - this idea that bisexuality is a ~fad~ is a really immature and useless proposition (and even if it was 'just a fad' who the hell cares? Who does it hurt?)

I'm a lesbian and not all girls work for me either. Where does this notion even come from that all girls should work for you? Do all guys work for you?

Anyway, if you don't feel comfortable coming out, keep in mind that you don't have to. Also, have you actually identified as heterosexual on your fandom account? Because unless you've proclaimed your heterosexuality repeatedly, I'm sure nobody will harass you about having "just" liked guys before.

If you still decide to come out, I hope everything goes well!

Personally it doesn't bother me. I loved the first book, but the writing does leave a lot to be desired. It's the world and the interactions that are interesting, not Collins' writing.

Some writers do great things with words. Some writers have awesome ideas and that's about it.

Not gonna lie, bisexuals tend to be misunderstood by straight and gay people. Everyone seems to have an idea on whether it's possible/impossible and how it's supposed to "work" (i.e. "must be 50/50! otherwise not real") But that, of course, is bullshit - I never was, and I imagine never will be, as often attracted to women as I am to men, but it's meaningless - I AM bi, and it IS what I am (as my gf would be happy to confirm...)

I think you shouldn't block this part of you for sake of convenience, and wish you luck and strentgh when dealing with the idiots you're likely to encounter in the process...
