Some animals (canines specifically, as far as I know) have a "knot" on the penis that swells upon orgasm. In animals, this prevents the female from pulling away immediately, thereby ensuring that all the sperm makes it into the female. In this way, chances of pregnancy are much increased. Knotting FIC consists of giving one or more of the male characters a knot.

I don't really know why it has become so prevalent in certain fandoms, but on an objective level I can see how some would connect it to werewolf fic. It pretty much squicks me out %100, so yeah....

If you have an idea that you think is great then write about it! If it catches on great! You deserve a pat on the back. If not, oh well at least you did something you enjoyed.

I don't think she's ugly--and I hate it when that's a complaint levied against actresses, because dangit, have you seen the range of male attractiveness that can constitute a "leading man," even in a romantic movie?!

But I do think she looks stoned on all of the promo art for Twilight.

Tried it once with my at the time partner who decided NO LUBE NO PREP DIVE DIVE DIVE was the way to go. Felt like someone shot a gun in my ass.

I am very aware that everyone's experience is different. That's going to be true of anything. For myself and multiple partners in possession of male and female anatomy, prep has been preferred. And, were I a part of someone's first experience, I would think erring on the side of caution makes sense.

I generally keep quiet when I can, (I love Mass Effect 3 multi exactly because that it allows me to stay silent) but sometimes people demand answer and it can get really awkward or nasty from there. I mostly blame the fact that I'm not a native english speaker.

Yeah, I'm Chinese and this really pisses me off.

A while ago somebody was complaining on tumblr about some white celeb was wearing a qipao and how it wrong it is and what-not. And I peeped up saying that I, as a Chinese girl, didn't care if you're Chinese, white or black or any other race and wear qipao (besides, Western people have been wearing qipaos for a good few decades, I thought). A celebrity in a fandom I'm in once said she got a custom-made pantsuit from a fan that fit perfectly. I wondered for ages how said fan knew her exact size and measurements.

Reportedly, some fans of another celebrity in the same fandom found out where her children went to school and showed up at the school from out of state, posing as parents and peeking in classroom windows to see if her kids were in there. Only I'm pretty sure that they were adults.

I love this couple to bits, but I don't really mind if it's not ever 'officially' canon. Ship and let ship and all that, as long as no one feels the need to stuff their opinion down everyone else's throat or mock people for daring to ship/not ship a couple they disagree with. And most of the really abrasive people likely wouldn't shut up even if they did become canon anyway.

However, ranting about how you basically hate everything in a fandom *except* your headcanons? Means that you should probably get the fuck out of that fandom and do your own original work [even if you have no intention of publishing it/letting other's see it].

Trust me, you wouldn't be missed and you'd probably be a lot happier.
