Alright, denizens of fandom!secrets. I think a lot of people don't actually know what these "stream" thingamajigs even are, so allow me to paint a picture for you.

You. Me. Tomorrow night. On my imaginary internet couch, with a couple of cult classics you've probably never heard of. The cuddling starts at 6pm Eastern. Don't like cuddling? That's cool. It's a big couch. We can just chill as bros and watch the flicks.

You know how the GC is like the super secret party behind fandom!secrets? Well the stream is like the little intimate gathering in the super secret side room. And everyone is invited. Good company, good movies, good wine (it's byob). If you have been wondering how to break the ice with some f!s people, this is how you do it! (This is how I did it anyway.)

What's your countryside like?

This is mostly because the large palm oil plantation next to one of my relative's house was cut down just before Raya Eid and it was slightly creepy seeing all the logged trees and open land where there had been once rows and rows of palm oil trees.

I'll start, where my family comes from (mother's side), the land is mountainous and hilly, full of second-growth forest, palm oil plantations and fruit orchards. where there is flat land it's usually used for village space and modern housing, as well as the occasional orchard.

Where my father's family comes from, the place is mostly flat land forest full of natural coconut palm trees and dotted here and there with mangrove swamps and large ponds before the beaches form and the villages are built (my father's family lives by the sea).

So, what's your countryside like?

Lately, I've been seeing all these funny photos of small dogs sitting in a pan on a stove -- taken as a prank, by people who are dogsitting.

Now, it just so happens that I'm taking care of my parents' dog while they're on vacation. And I want to do something funny like that! Problem is that she's a golden retriever, so she won't fit on top of my stove :\

...Can anyone help me come up with something fun?

Student Loans. Unemployment. Forbearances.

So I have been unemployed for almost a year. I have been trying to find jobs but I am just not getting call backs. I got one call back but I was too overqualified for the job (I have a BA). -__-

I have had my loans in Forbearance (reapplying twice for each loan, 4 loans) for most of that time. Before they went into Forbearance I paid them on time, every time. Some of my loans are about to come out of Forbearance and I still have not found a job. But I am worried they are going to deny it (also, I have weird anxiety about disappointing people, even my loan company).

A couple I can do online, but a couple I will have to mail (I don't have a fax machine). Anyone else dealt with this kind of situation?

Clothing choices that make you go "hrrk"

Apparently, there's this thing now where you make cut-off shorts, but you cut them above where the pockets hang. So you have pocket flaps chilling where everyone can see them. And then you stick your giant smart phone in your pocket, and there it is, bulging out below the hem of your shorts. It's hideous and mind-boggling. I want so badly to go and cut the pockets off so there's a uniform end to the pant.

ADDITIONALLY. There are these shirts now that say "AYE HE'S MINE" and "AYE SHE'S MINE," and people buy them, and then they put each other's names on them (for example: Bob has a shirt that says "AYE SHE'S MINE" on the front with "SHELLY" on the back, and Shelly has a shirt that says "AYE HE'S MINE" on the front with "BOB" on the back). ...what? I mean, I guess it's sweet, but it's unbelievably tacky. And what happens if you break up? You can never, ever wear that shirt again. Unless you go searching for someone with the same name as your ex, which would be a little weird ("What first attracted you to me, honey?" "The fact that, if we dated, I could wear my favorite shirt once more!").

I'm asking in all seriousness. I recently discovered Encyclopedia Dramatica and I've been warned to never take questions like this to any chan-type boards. I'm trying to figure this out and hope to find better answers than the generic "lurk moar" meme.

Why does one person who does, say, Sonic recolors get trolled, but another person who does almost the same thing doesn't?

Please help me understand. I'm not an SJW or someone here to condemn trolls. I only seek knowledge.
