I said this earlier, but Toxic Avengers has legit value as a genre twister. See, this is a slasher movie, only the slasher is the good guy. Not the protagonist. Not the villain we are rooting for. We are meant to see Toxie as a force for good. A force for good that stalks, tortures and murders in gristly fashion, including hot buxom (but evil) women. It's fascinating. And very silly.

Then... I KEEP WANTING TO SHOW THIS MOVIE AND IT KEEPS NOT HAPPENING. NOT THIS TIME. THIS TIME WE DO IT. KILLER CONDOM. A gay Pi in Germany explores a horror running through the rough trade of the area. Monsters and sets designed by HR. Geiger! ... and then ignored by idiots who didn't realize what talent they had. See this dissapointing movie, FINALLY!

I'm so sad. I love books and I used to read at least a book every week. But now that I'm back to school I'm swamped with studying and don't have any time left for non-school-related reading. Baww.

Need Help With Laptop Buying

So, I am hoping to go overseas next September. While I wait for that, I have been saving money to buy a laptop (since carting a desktop across the ocean is horribly impractical). I am hoping to get a laptop I can game on and plan on having saved up ~$1000 by next July.

I guess alienware is the go to brand when it comes to gaming laptops? I don't have the capability to build my own. I have two big concerns.

One is that by the time I go to buy my laptop in July/August of 2014 Windows 7 will not be available (tried Windows 8 and loathed it).

My $1000 laptop will be obsolete in 4 years and I don't think laptops are as easily upgradeable as a desktop (in concerns to hardware).

Any advice?

Is anyone else here playing? I just got it this week and my character, a female elezen lancer, has finally left Gridania at level 16 for Lima Limosa or whatever it's called. I want to get her into battlecrafting too while she trains to be a dragoon, haha. I'm not huge on MMOs but this game has been a lot of fun whether I'm playing with friends or not. And I'm on PS3 because I'd have failed epically at using a keyboard, I'm not a PC gamer and don't own a suitable computer for it. :P

What/where is everyone else? Or am I all alone here? ;)

Secret 1 - Sherlock Holmes, action heroes and sidekicks

Even though I totally love the whole "badass hero with badass sidekick" genre, it always distresses me to watch them. Because I'm constantly distracted by imagining how I'd mess up and be incompetent and start crying and get the hero killed (or worse, annoyed) if I were a sidekick.

And how I could never be a hero, because I wouldn't have the self-confidence to lead anyone in a dangerous situation, because I'd get them killed. And I couldn't trust anyone that way, anyway.

Secret because: This is a dumb thing to feel shitty about. 90% of ALL people couldn't do it either.
