Honestly, it doesn't make me rage (but then, I often over-analyze things, so...), but... yeah, I don't see it happening. Frankly, if they were going in that direction, why introduce Mary and a baby into the show (and no, "Mary was canon" doesn't cut it for me)?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-12 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, yes.

People who are super proud of being 90s kids seem to be especially obnoxious about those sort of things.

That's a leotard.

Ah, SGA fandom. You were a crazy cracky time.

It is just so scary! It was something even the Doctor did not know and could not defeat.

Kurt/Blaine?

[personal profile] elephantinegrace 2014-02-12 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
I see an equal amount of top!Kurt and top!Blaine, just because the latter seems more like a "traditional" relationship and the latter because it's not a "traditional" relationship.

Also, I'm not sure if it's just my Tumblr dash, but I see pretty much exclusively bottom!Marceline fic.

It was Alvin and the chipmunks slash where they use peanut butter as lubricant. It stuck with me because it sort of grossed me oout, cause I imagined it would look somewhat like shit in that context.

Came here to say this. Midnight is perfect.

spoilers!!!

jk, but seriously the films are so different from the books at this point that I don't even care if they change the ending; it's already a different story imo
but the fandom meltdown would be awesome: on one hand 'yissss my babies live' but on the other hand 'peter jackson what have u done u horrible sell-out tolkien is rolling in his grave'

depressed

(Anonymous) 2014-02-12 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
I can't even read or watch movies anymore because all I see are characters with friends and interesting things happening to them, and even if it's not good things, the characters are able to handle them in much better ways than I could.

I read this crazy RPF story where Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, James Marsters, Michael Rosenbaum, Tom Welling and David Boreanaz were all in this polyamorous BDSM relationship. Except one of them was a psychopath who was stalking Jensen. And no one noticed. Spoiler: it was David Boreanaz!!!1!

A tiny sprinkle of nearly naked males is a shit attempt at leveling the field in a show filled with female buttocks and breasts.

You just reminded me of a list I bookmarked, like, four years ago, compiling Starsky & Hutch fanfics with the most hilarious summaries evvvvvvvver.

*dives into bookmarks to hunt for it*

*three minutes later*

GOT IT. You don't need to know a single thing about the show to appreciate the hilarity of these descriptions:

Weirdest fic was prob all in SGA. Unicorn/Rainbow AU, Girl Scout cookie AU, that one messed up fic where Rodney fucks a sheep, the one where John was a centaur. With the exception of the bestiality fic, they were all the awesome kind of weird too.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-12 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
SA

Yeah, but I've been waiting for those fics since I was but a wee eight year old reading The Hobbit for the first time. I can handle the schmoop. :) Besides, since the canon ending is definitely going to be sad (and the movie itself very likely to be bad) I'd like to have a little happy bonus for buying the DVD.

ayrt

I'm hoping that that's it. It's kind of why I'd like to know what they're reading, because there are some great female characters in the genre (apart from those in ASoIaF), and it sucks that they seem to be missing them.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-12 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
I doubt all the guys who got naked when Ryuuko destroyed their outfits were happy with being naked.

Hannibal is one of these shows where I can't tell if it's good or not. It's just weirdly enjoyable.

I'm sorry. :( I've been there and it's no fun. Hopefully things get better for you soon.

I've found the opposite. My preference is for submissive!Dean whether he's on the bottom or top, but more what I've seen is dominant and top!Dean.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-12 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
I've never liked reading female characters either. Just doesn't interest me much. I think I got turned off at a young age when every single female character, in the end, turned out to be beautiful even if they were introduced as plain. Since I'm not the most attractive nut on the tree I suppose I just couldn't identify and I always felt betrayed somehow that only pretty people can have adventures. Since I'm not a guy, I don't care much about how they look I suppose and can enjoy them for themselves.

Too late now to change my ways.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-12 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
You're really reaching here. The secret-maker's exact words are "basically I usually loathe female characters." Nowhere do they specify "female characters in fantasy." There's no reason to assume that fantasy is what they mostly read, either, since ASOIAF tends to be touted as "fantasy for people who don't read fantasy."

I know it's a bit late, but

(Anonymous) 2014-02-12 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Should 10 have a big-ass spoiler tag for people who haven't read the book?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-12 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
I was legitimately surprised to see male scrotum in the last episode.
