I'd love it if there were a second season where they go back. It's why I wasn't too hot on the idea that you can only go there when you die, since there were people living there and presumably weren't dead (like, the dead (the skeletons, for example) were treated differently than, say, Beatrice or the woodsman (who presumably weren't lost souls either)). I'd really like it if we could explore that world more-- maybe with a new protagonist?

To be honest I would have loved it if the 'garden wall' was sort of like the wall in Neil Gaiman's Stardust-- you just jump it and are in a different world.

How did you like the last few episodes? Didn't really like the last few sub plots, but I liked the season.

I thought the last eisode (Tina Soldier Spy or something) had an interesting shift tone wise, with more reaffirmative family interactions (Gene-Linda, Gene-Bob, Tina-Louise).

I loved Tina pulling one over on Louise.

The episode with the crazy flock of geese/turkeys/ducks has been my favorite this season. Great side characters.

I'm bummed I started shipping Louise/Rudy because there's no fanart or fabric...

"Dawn of the Peck" was just incredible from start to finish. I liked finally meeting Bob's dad, too. Liked seeing Jimmy Pesto in Best Burger but I'm glad he isn't as prominent as he used to be. Can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store!

Can I just say I'm so delighted so man people are still squeeing about TWS, and just Marvel franchises in general. I never could have dreamed as a 13-year old that fandom future would be so awesome.

I think it was you who posted about We're Alive here before, and I ended up listening to it. I stuck with it even though I didn't quite like the start of it (figured it would take a while, seasons maybe, for the 15-minute episodes to find their ground). At the moment I'm on the second to last episode of the first season.

I really don't like Michael orz Or most of the cast tbh outside of grizzly old bamf guy, impossibly perfect French lady, Filipino land lord/property management guy, and Saul. But when they're not having dumb and contrived apartment drama (someone like-likes so-and-so! what a big deal!), they have some pretty good survival and action scenes. I loved the shit out of sweat experiments, and I'm so confused and excited about what's happening in the basement stuff that's going on now.

Also spoiler me on this one thing: do the cucumbers ever successfully grow or get to their intended destination man?

YGO and Merlin

All I've been thinking about is YuGiOh and Merlin. I guess if any one has anything they want to talk about with regards to those, I'm game. (Note: only on s4 of the 4kids dub of yugioh.)

Merlin was OK for what it was, which was essentially a tween show that then became popular with the migratory slash fandom (unfortunately). The show played fast and loose with history, Arthurian legend, and period accuracy. It became much more loosely plotted and paint-by-numbers melodramatic towards the end (as most British shows tend to) but overall, eeeeh. It was OK. The only real revulsion I had for the fandom was when I stumbled across a tinhat's Merlin RPS blog on Tumblr. Blech.

Transformers (anything except G1)

^ I'm also not familiar with the Unicron Trilogy, but mostly I can talk about anything other than the G1 continuities. I'm kind of desperate for someone who doesn't want to talk about the IDW comics, because I've never read them and have no intentions to (they look like perfectly good stories, just not to my taste).

There was a little bit of discussion here while S1 was airing. I'd love to chat some more about it. Season 2 starts January 16!

Right now I'm rewatching S1 to refresh my memory and to introduce it to my sister, who wasn't living here when it aired. We are at 1x05 now, and she is a little reluctant to continue after a certain character's death. Personally, the thing that sold me on the show after that point was the "Thanksgiving dinner" sequence (oh my god, the music!) and the introduction of Anana. But she doesn't like Balleseros at all, so I'm not sure how much she'll be interested in Anana...

Dragon Age: Inquisition

Has anyone completed the game yet? Were you pleased or underwhelmed? Did you immediately start another play-through? (I have like...idek, lmao, five or six inquisitors now. It's ridiculous.)

On a whole I greatly enjoyed the game (especially that final twist), but I do wish there were less fetch quests and more unique quests and NPC's to interact with. After a certain point running around killing mages, templars, bandits and various wildlife got a bit old. Still, I do like the open world formula and feel BioWare could make it even better; the quests just need a bit more substance. (IMO most the main quests were excellent, just too short and maybe less 'involved' than they could have been. "In your heart shall burn" is one of my favorite quests in a video game in recent years.)

Anyway, I decided to (eventually) romance Solas, Cullen, Dorian and Cass after Iron Bull (whose romance I LOVED. It was so funny, unexpectedly sweet and full of good emotion) but now that I've heard about all the romances being bugged in some way I'm afraid to keep playing. (Plus, on my second play-through I've had almost no party banter. I had quite a bit in my first game, but only around one or two convos the second time around. The game is too lonely and depressing with silent companions.)

I don't want to have to start over at a later date; I've put too much time into my Cullen play-through already, but I fear I might have to anyway. :( Ah, well.

So...yea, Dragon Age?

It's coming back! What do you think Leslie and Ben were about to do even though it was Ben's big night? Has Tom's Bistro fared well? Is Ann Godmother to Leslie's kids despite being so far away?

Also, why is Leslie's mother never on the show when you'd think her character would show up? Is the actress expensive?

I loved it. I don't care. I loved the first two and I love the other two even more. I don't care that other people hate it, I just wish they'd stop stating their opinions as fact and ruining it for the rest of us.

I've seen it twice now, and I'm already itching to see it again. So freaking awesome.
