Anyone? The only one I've read is Honto Yajuu which I really loved, but I have no idea where to look for more.

The only trope I can think of that I am especially looking for is Right Hand Hottie, but I have no idea how realistic it is to hope for a non-creepy story about a guy/assistant couple. I'm really open to anything as long as it's not creepy or too serious though.

bittersweet friendships

I'm just going to be dull and predictable because I need something satisfying and tropey.

Any media where two characters have an epic bittersweet friendship - not without difficulties, but ultimately healing and healthy for both of them. The more they cling onto each other, the better. Bonus points if the relationship is quasi-familial. H/c is VERY welcome.

Examples of tropey stuff I already like: Murder Rooms, Bulgakov's Heart of a Dog, Sherlock Holmes in almost any incarnation, Hot Fuzz, Holy Flying Circus, The King's Speech, Stevenson's Kidnapped.

Are you regretting any of your offers/requests? Are there any weird letters in your fandom? Do you have any fandoms that didn't get offered/requested this year?

I requested a tiny fandom I didn't have much hope for (Murder Rooms, in case someone has trouble guessing), and suddenly at the last moment someone ELSE requested the same fandom despite the fact that we have no offers. Their letter still hasn't been posted and it's driving me mad XD Did they sign up because they knew their request'd go to pinch hitters? Will they post the letter?

What are some books/movies/shows/games/etc that you remember loving but when rewatched/played/read just did not live up to your memory?

I decided to listen to the WTNV episode "A Story About You" because while I don't enjoy the most recent episodes, I remember that one giving me a creepy/awed vibe. But after listening to it again, it just sounded flat and boring. I guess I have gotten used to podcasts with better stories and production values but it was a bit sad. :(

What features do you like or dislike in an art style?

I was thinking about Steven Universe and how a lot of people dislike the art style. It got me wondering what different people consider makes a style good or bad.

For me, I tend to like the styles between realistic and anime. What really puts me off is when characters are difficult to tell apart. Like, when I'm reading some comics and I can't identify the characters out of uniform.
