So this happened

I was walking in the local shopping center today, and I saw a girl (young woman? Hard to tell, late teens to early twenties) curled up against a window. I walked up to her and asked if she was okay.

I couldn't really hear her (hearing issues + soft voice/almost whispering isn't a great combo), so I asked her to repeat what she said. She did, and I swear I thought she said "I'm homeless."

I didn't really know what to do, so I got one of the nearby store clerks to help her, then awkwardly walked away. :/ I was just surprised and confused and handled the whole thing, well, awkwardly.

What would you have done? And if I HAD been sure she was homeless, what could I have said/done?

So My favourite film of recent-ish years has been Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Watched it for the first time in a while today. Jesus Christ how did I not notice how homophobic and misogynistic it is? It's AWFUL. I mean, seriously, I expect to watch a film from the 60's and be taken aback by how gross it is, but not a film that's not even 20 years old yet! How did we go from something so wrong to where we are so quickly that I didn't even notice?

Does anyone do computer coding for websites/simple apps?

I want to get into web design - I know basic HTML and stuff, but I'd like to build my own from scratch. I also have interest in making simple apps, or eventually games of some sort. Basically, I want to learn how to do computers, but more hardcore! What programming language is the best to learn? Anyone got any resources? I'm looking into taking a real course, but thought I'd see if anyone has any tips/suggestions/resources first.

After x number of years having to listen to coworkers talking about others behind their backs and not adressing them directly about their complaints, of them making fun of people because of how they live and/or look and being oh so scandalized about others, I just couldn't take it any more.

I called out the two main "mean girls" ( actually "mean women" as they're in their forties and sixties), in front of the entire lunch room. Then I called out the others present, too. Ended by telling them that I'm tired of their shit and that they can all go to hell.

I've told our CEO and the main Production Manager about what I did, because there will be shit coming my way shortly.

Afterwards, I've been shaking, I was so mad and then had a massive headache. I don't regret that I made the assholes cry. Going to be intresting coming to work in a few hours...
