World of Final Fantasy is better than it has any right to be. I posted a while back about why I didn't like how Luke was handled in Tales of the Abyss, but people didn't really understand what I was talking about. Now I can say that this is what I think Abyss was trying for. (And yes, I'm still talking about a candy-colored game where the characters have heads bigger than their torsos.)

The FFXV Judgement Demo! Love it, even though I can't understand a thing as it's in Japanese with no English subs. The gameplay is really awesome imo, and I'm so hyped for the full game.

Just got an email that my copy of the game is shipped and there's a good chance I'll get it on Thursday or Friday!

The original F.E.A.R.

It's been 11 years, close to 12 really, and this game is still one of the finest examples of emergent enemy AI I have ever seen. Easily one of Monolith's top 3 best games, possibly THE best. I wish they weren't just a factory for LotR games like they seem to be nowadays.

I'm 23, and honestly, just once, I'd like to tell a parent/teacher/relative/school official about an issue I'm having, and hear them say, "Wow, that was an administrative oversight. I'm sorry that happened. How can I help you?"

Rather than the usual, "Lol, guess you're fucked because it's not my job to help you. Also, you caused this problem yourself. Yep. Just you."

Why is it that the only people I see who really make a big deal about their Hogwarts house are Hufflepuffs? Other people who care about the house just mention it in discussions about houses, or as a note in FB/tumblr/etc. bios, like a Myers-Briggs type or a star sign, but certain people who consider themselves Hufflepuffs post about it all the time on Facebook, and seem to consider it a major part of their identity. Is it just that Hufflepuff was sort of considered the lame and boring house at first so people want to defend it?

I'm going to be there - I'm actually going to be a panelist!
For those of you who aren't familiar, it's a convention over Thanksgiving weekend in Los Angeles. It's sci-fi and fantasy focused, but more literary and low-key than a lot of the huge conventions. I went last year and had a good time; I liked the environment, and had some great conversations :)
This year, the theme is Star Trek.
